Excellent place to eat. Food variety and quality is second to none. The service is first rate and nothing is to much effort. The pub provides a very cosy and charming environment for a pleasant meal. This eatery is superb and I would recommend the red lion to anyone for lunch or dinner.

This is one of the best - if not THE best - pub lunch* deals in the area. £7.95 for two courses, £8.95 for three (not that we've managed a third, given the generous size of the portions.) Unlike many 'value' pub lunch deals, the food is not pre packaged ready made to be nuked in the microwave. This all...

We visited the Red after a recommendation by friends and boy where they right. The food , drinks and staff where excellent my mouth is watering at the thought of our next visit. The Bar, lounge and restaurant areas are traditional and the rear safe garden with play area is ideal for children. The bars serve beers with guest ales,...

Visited today after looking at the websites menu which advertised several choices of starter, mains and desserts for their lunchtime menu at a cost of £6.50 for 2 courses or £7.50 for 3 courses. Prices were in fact £7.95 and £8.95 and although we did not expect all the menu choices to be available , there was only a choice...

Went here last night for our club's Christmas Outing! We chose the Burger & a drink for a tenner (yes, I know I said Christmas outing but it was lovely not to have turkey) Excellent value for money, lovely presentation, plenty on the 'plate' (actually that's my only gripe.... I HATE food on a board, seem to spend most of...

Went here on 11th dec for sunday lunch with family .very busy but well staffed.the starters were very nice and well presented. My son who is 9 said he felt inspired by the presentation. Amazing words from a child. The beef roast was so tasty and most enjoyable. We will be definitely returning. Well done to you all.

Attended this pub on the Friday night and that was fantastic. We returned for the party on the Saturday. The buffet was brilliant the decorations were fab. I would go again for a meal or a party. Good beers and good wine selection. Staff very friendly.

Great local pub for me, always good food, great staff, cosy environment, maybe furnishings are dated, but you go for good food. Quick service, clean and tidy. The menu is varied, and they also do an early bird menu which is really good value for money.

This pub is very busy so I would recommend you book a table. The dining room is quite small so there are only a few tables. The food was hot and tasty. Service was good. Recommend this pub. There is an al la cartel menu or the days specials so plenty of choice. The dessert menu is limited
