Although I tried booking a non-smoking room for the price (no smoking room available), I had no choice. However, the staff assured me that they will do their best to deodorize the room. Although there was a slight whiff of smoke, the stay was quite comfortable. As in all hotels, the staff is courteous and friendly.

Modern clean and stylish. Excellent coffee machine in the reception area which doubles for breakfast lounge. Breakfast had a good variety and was very convenient. Newspapers including in English were available to read in the reception area. The rooms were smallish but well designed and the bathroom had a dedicated shower room. Staff were kind and polite. The hotel is near the station but not too easy to find.

And they also have a more budget choice of shower rooms, which perfectly suits me. The location is also quite near Mishima Station and you don't need to walk very near. Amenities were well provided. Bed was comfortable. Staff were also very friendly.

We have been in this Hotel for three nights... and it is a nice and friendly place, very near to the the train and Bus Station, with lots of Restaurants near to it. The rooms are small (as all over Japan) but actually the served the best Western and Asian Breakfast Buffet we had in Japan! Staff is nice (with poor English, but one can manage) and the rooms are clean. Mishima is not very much visited by Western Tourists - but thats an error! From the Hotel Massimo you reach in 5 minutes the train station and you can take local trains to Numazu on the coast of the Pacific Ocean (only 1 station). Or a Bus to the Mishima Skywalk with the best view to Mount Fuji or another Bus to the wonderful Hakone Area with the Ashi lake and a great view to Mount Fuji, too.

Friendly staff, clean, modern, convenient Breakfast is adequate Small in room and lobby, but fine if you are out doing stuff all day. Not recommended for longer than 1week stays because the small size will make you go crazy.

Travelled from Kawaguchiko and stayed for one night. We were not aware how close to the station is this hotel which is handy if you are staying one night or two days. We arrived late as we missed the last bus from Kawaguchiko to Mishima and they were expecting us. They helped us with a small issue we had with our payment with out any problems. When we went to our room we found a nice welcome letter. The room was clean and tidy. Next day we went down to reception and a lady; Yamashina was at the reception and she did help us a lot. Her service is fantastic. We had some issues with our payment still and she took an extra mile to help us. Things worked perfectly fine thanks to her. She took her time and kept smiling while the situation was being fixed. We really appreciate her help. So thank you Yamashina! Thank you Hotel Massimo Mishima! Thank you Mishima!

Really nice cozy hotel. The rooms are not very big but adequate for 1-2 nights stay. It is very clean with all the amenities needed. The lobby turns into small breakfast area with surprisingly lots of choice. I was missing some fresh fruit , but otherwise very nice.

Just stayed a night here. This hotel is very close to the Mishima station and so its easily accessible and convenient for those visiting Mt. Fuji or Hakone areas. I wanted to visit hakone and I took a hakone free pass nearby the station. The room service was good and the staff were prompt.

We wanted one night here so we didn't miss out on getting the perfect picture of Mount Fuji. So we stayed here. It is 1 minute from the train station and staff speak enough English to get you by. Mishima is a cute town and we would highly recommend doing the walking tour. Rooms are very small but very comfortable. We went for the breakfast but honestly, our western pallet didn't like it but there was plenty of choice. We were very happy to stay here and I would highly recommend it.

A close distance from the Shinkansen strain station in Hotel Mishima and near a park make the Hotel Massimo Mishima an great place to stay. Like most Japanese hotels, the rooms are quite small. There is a choice of a western or Japanese style breakfast. But servings sizes are small. The lobby is small, a the day of and check in departure luggage storage is allowed. This hotel was as pricey as the APA hotel in downtown Osaka ($152.93 for 1 night) Breakfast cost 800 yen per person per night. The bed was a queen rather than double size which was nice. Wi-fi is available and free of charge.
