Most people here would be going to the well known old town of Vézelay, world heritage site. Hotels there are busy and expensive. This is a nice hotel 2 kms away. Large room, shower over bath with a small shower screen, most tend not to have them in France so floors get soaked! Our ground floor room at back had...

If you choose to stay in this small hotel when the weather is hot be sure to ask for a ground floor room. We stayed on a 37 degree day and it was a nightmare. The room we were given was on the top floor at the front and was horribly hot. We had a fan which we had going...

At the end of a grueling day of hard mile munching, this little Hotel /B&B is a welcoming relief! I had a clean room decorated in a striking purple motif, but who looks at the decor when asleep? The view from the window of this very quiet room was of apple orchards, Burgundian roofs and the church. Bliss! The wi-fi...

We booked into La Rénommée for 3 nights. The facilities were acceptable, if a bit constrained, but then the WiFi didn't work. The proprietress blamed our iPhone (4S) and iPad (Air), saying that computers work with no problem. Because it was a national holiday in France, we couldn't contact the installation company for help, and I was told to come...

We stayed for 3 nights whilst touring on our motorbike and were in a spacious ground floor room, with a patio area where we could drink the local beer brewed just around the corner! The hotel has off road parking and is well maintained, breakfast was sufficient for us and is served in the bar across the road( where the...

We arrived on a terribly hot day in July for 2 nights, and our very large room was quite cool without air conditioning, which was a pleasant surprise. The owners were very friendly, and it is in a great location for Vezelay, where we ate each night. The breakfast was plentiful with a few different touches not found in the...

We stayed here for 3 nights and could not speak too highly of our overall experience. The owners were so friendly and helpful and aided us in an hour of need due to some exceptional circumstances. Loved the quirky individual decors of the rooms and clearly some thought had gone into each of them. One evening when we failed to...

Used as a stop over on our way through France on a car tour. Vezelay is a beatiful village . Hotel owners are very friendly and my room on the ground floorwas of a good size, clean, and comfortable and well fitted.Wifi works really well. This hotel was excellent. The new owners couldn't do enough for us, and the service was excellent. The reception is opposite most of the hotel rooms and accessed with a PIN code. The rooms were large and clean, as well as being cool and quiet (at night it is a very quiet village). We wanted to see Vezelay but didn't...
