A really lovely stay for our 50th wedding anniversary. We stayed for one night in a superior room and bought the spa package with dine and stay. We had a lovely time from start to finish. The staff are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We had a swim and went in the hot tub. Later we went to the bar and had a drink before our meal where we were looked after by becky. She was a delight. Our meal was excellent which we couldn’t fault. As I said we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend to anyone. Thank you fairlawns for making our golden wedding so special.

Well this has been by far the nicest spa hotel I’ve stayed in !! From start to finish the stay was perfect! A very warm and friendly welcome , friendly staff all through the hotel and spa ! My meal in restaurant 178 was so good I could’ve eaten it twice !! The waiters/ waitresses friendly warm and efficient ( special mention to the lovely Becky who went above and beyond to make our stay special ) the spa was clean and much better than I anticipated !! You’d need to go a long way to beat this hotel ! Oh there was a wedding and a birthday party on and it didn’t affect our stay in the slightest !!!

Having booked a superior double room, we were really pleased to have been upgraded to a junior suite on arrival, and that was just the start to what would be an exceptional experience at this Independent hotel and spa. Every member of the team, without exception did everything to make our stay enjoyable. The room was immaculately clean and well proportioned, the bath in the room was really large, something my 6” 6’ partner really appreciated, as most hotel baths are just too small for him. Upstairs in the suite was the king size bed, writing table and en-suite shower and double basin. Air conditioning was good and quite quiet, which was a relief as night time temperatures were very humid. The spa, which we used every day was lovely, swimming sessions bookable for twenty minute sessions made sure that the pool had never more than 5 people at a time. Breakfasts were fresh and the choices were excellent, perhaps just change your sausage supplier! We used the restaurant on the first and last night, both nights my meals were excellent, well presented and delicious. However on the last night my partner asked if the chef was happy to cook his steak “Blue” the waitress confirmed that he would and he ordered it. When it arrived it was obviously not “Blue”, the waitress asked if everything was ok and my partner said yes, to avoid a fuss. After a couple of minutes the waitress returned again and asked if we were sure, as she felt that my partner looked unhappy, and said that she would be more than happy to replace the steak as it was important to her that we enjoyed our meal. The replacement steak was lovely and she thanked us for allowing her to correct the situation. This was excellent service in our view, the waitress went well beyond what we would have expected. Thank you to all the members of the team that we interacted with during our brief visit, and be assured that we will recommend you to all our friends and family. Hopefully we will have the pleasure of another visit in the future.

Thanks for your comments and for giving us the chance to correct our error also. Hotels are about people - the customer and the team - so its really nice that throughout your stay you recognise the efforts and attention the team showed in caring for you and in trying to make the occasion a lovely one for you and your partner. Across all areas - the team are working really hard and its lovely that this was evident during your stay. We hope to see you again John

From start to finish - perfection!!!! Receptionist was so so warm and welcoming! Even prior to the stay I emailed to sort treatments and spa day passes etc and the receptionist could not have been more helpful, moving appointments a our so I had all the timings I wanted. Room was literally beaut - facilities were spot on - ironing board, black out blinds, HUGE bed air con huge shower. Couldn't fault. We spent the evening drinking it the bar and the staff took pics of me and my husband and had a laugh with us. The spa facilities were spot on. Spent the whole day drifting in and out of sleep and feeling so so chilled out. Had a massage treatment which again was 10/10. From top to bottom this place was amazing. Will definitely be returning!!

We got married here on 15th August. And we are still riding the waves of joy! Saying we had an absolutely amazing time, really doesn’t say it enough. Josh, Bea and Attia really did go above and beyond to make sure we were looked after on the day, aswell as everyone else too! Literally all we had to worry about was getting dressed…the service here was so good infact, it meant we could relax and enjoy the experience of our wonderful wedding day. From our initial conversation with Joanne and our meeting with John we got the impression we could trust them to look after us and our guests. We were also reassured they would follow the covid rules to keep us safe. This was important to us. Alot of efforts and preparation went in behind the scenes; changes because of the pandemic, room reservations, special requirements. None of these were ever too much trouble. During our taster menu evening meal, Attia further cemented our view that Fairlawns value customer service throughout the hotel. He was extremely attentive to every detail, staff very professional. Joanne was on a hotline for months, our meeting with John was invaluable and Josh on the day as awesome ! Overall opinion, very professional, the service here was beyond exceptional, everyone loved the hotel and the food. We are so appreciative such a place exists.
