Paradise Resort is centrally located for 3 world Heritage UNESCO Monuments and all Navagraha and other important temples. With great ambience built on south Indian rich heritage style, spread in around 12 acres of vast lush and greenery, situated in a Highway and ends at River view is indeed one of its kind to offer you Culture and Pilgrim tour combined with complete relaxation and rejuvenationParadise Resort is a Government of India approved 3 star property on the Tanjore Highway at a five minute distance from Darasuram Iravadeeshwarar temple (World Heritage UNESCO Monument). Situated amidst lush lawns and plenty of greenery the resort is a retreat for the tired traveler. The resort comes from the belief that south Indian tradition culture and heritage which has got a rich legacy has to be promoted and therefore we have made our spacious rooms in traditional ambience. With 150 year old antique doors in each of the rooms the furniture with intricate work of teak wood again transports one to an era of life of the south Indians those days. But again the spacious bathroom in each of the rooms has a bathtub or a cubicle and is very sophisticated. The Restaurant with arches and windows of the yesteryears and tables and chairs with work and craftsmanship of Burmese teak is a feast for the eyes. The resort is known for its food which again depicts a lot of traditional elements in its cuisine. The massive swimming pool is again a highly relaxing place. The very attractive and appealing swimming pool is done up with the latest Italian glass tiles. The view from the 6 pool view rooms is breathtaking. Our new additions are the river view cottages again done in traditional style and having awesome ambience. We are also supported by a village behind the property; guests can be taken for a village walk in which more than getting to see village houses and their lifestyle, there is a village temple with big Iyyanar statues (village security god). Bullock cart rides to temples near by, excursions to Weaving industry, pottery making, and bronze making industry can also be done.Other activities could be fishing in the river, visit to agricultural fields and showing the process of cultivation. Organization of lots of traditional games inside the resort would be an added pleasure.Cultural performances like folk dances which are very special to the localite like thappattam (a traditional Tamil dance) is also done. A lot of work goes into more innovative activities to make the stay more than pleasurable a memorable one.

We celebrated our little ones 1st year birthday celebration in this resort.we stayed there for 2 days with all our family members.total of 18 rooms were booked. The food was customized as per our requirement. Excellent food, Spacious rooms, beautiful landscape. Wedding hall was so huge with beautiful flooring.price was very nominal compared to any resorts in that vicinity. ideal place for a get together or any family function.Appreciate the service of Mrs.Latha. she is so good. Only drawback was the steps on each rooms doesnt have handrails. It was a challenge for all older people to climb. The resort should do something about it. Looking forward to celebrate our future functions here.

Large grounds in natural setting. Interconnecting paths lead to different accommodation sites. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Staff is attentive. There is a beautiful pool...soft water and big enough to do some swimming in. Some baby goats and geese wandering around for entertainment. The food is great. Close to impressive temples.

Went for dinner food was ok. Quantity is ok. Price for this range is a bit high. Ambience is very good. But hotel staffs in white and white dress were rude and impolite. They mostly focus on foreign nationals.

Beautiful lush gardens, large comfortable room, tasty food and very helpful staff. We stayed in the houses at the back of the resort. We were woken by the temple at 4am but it is India! I accept it as part of travelling. The pool was very pleasant after visiting the local temples. Would certainly return.

To begin with, the resort is a well spread lush green property and close by to Arasalar river. The property is well spread out depicts the old tradition of Tamilnadu be it the rooms or the amenities. But there is a serious call for maintenance. The rooms we got ( 2 rooms) both had dampness smell. Upon request, the staff came and applied room spray which became more stronger than the dampness smell and was uncomfortable. The toilet seat in one of the room was broken and the replaced seat was not alligning properly. The bathroom pipes were old and in one instance the shower switch came off. The STB offered didnt work and upon requesting it looked like the cables were not laid neatly. I had to open all the windows to get rid of the dampness smell which caused mosquitos to come in. The swiming pool also needs attention of cleaning as there were dead insect and leaves in the pool. Overall serious maintenance call is needed. On the positive side, the staffs were very cordial and are willing to help you in all possible ways. The food is really very nice and taste well. One more mention, The resort is a paradise for birding. You get to see a lots of species birds. I had seen ~15 species inside the property, few names include spotted owlet, rufous treepie, paradise flycatcher, jungle and large babbler etc. Overall request to management is to find ways to maintain the property neatly.

Change that woman sitting in the front desk. She will take 10 issues.. keep postponing them, till it becomes 100, before you know you will have 1000 complaints ! She closes all issues by saying, 'I will call you back.. but never does,' Btw we never received the 'complimentary' foot massage.. even after reminding some 7/8 times. The wi-fi issue needed multiple reminders, never got refills for the in-room coffee/tea supplies.. we were handed over a room that had smelly left-overs in the fridge.. fairly long list of service complaints ! Same treatment for a room change request.. because of the nearby temple blasting loud speakers at 4 am.. Thankfully, there was this thin young girl.. Kalaivani, who was knowledgeable, (seems to be the only person, who seems to know what is what in the resort) and sorted the issue for us. Restaurant service was good.. Thankfully unaffected by the inefficiencies of the front desk. The menu needs a few 'combo' items.. like chicken with phulka, etc. Like the title says.. great place.. lovely village ambience.. If only you up the service.. everything will be great about this quaint little resort !

Our family stayed at this resort from March 24-27, 2019. It was the second time we stayed at this place after our first visit in June 2016. The property is overall well maintained. The staff are extremely courteous and attend to your requirements immediately. The kitchen staff also accommodated special food requests for our children. I strongly recommend this place if you want to have a peaceful and serene environment. I would suggest for improvements and upgradation of the children play area.

Had a great experience in Paradise Resort. In my earlier trips to Kumbakonam I had been struggling for a decent hotel. This is a good option we found by chance The place is well maintained and has a rustic look as promised. It seems largely frequented by westerners. So cleanliness is excellent. We got a HUGE room which even had a huge bathroom ! Hot water worked! (Yes it is an issue in many places) We were given a free foot massage too which was very good using ayurvedic oil. He did a sincere work. There is a very clean swimming pool which we did not get a chance to use. Staff were very courteous. There are some ducks roaming around the compound too. There is a Bronze factory behind the hotel and they have an outlet at the hotel. An interesting process to watch. Only negative for me was that restaurant was veg and non-vegetarian (since it caters to foreigners). I did not get assurance of strict demarcation. Hence I could not eat there.

A pleasant hotel with what I can only describe as quirky rooms. Ours was by the pool. The fittings seemed old fashioned, but they worked. The restaurant was very good and the staff very helpful. The down side was that our poolside room was close to the main road and so was noisy. Also the doorway was quite low, and it can be so easy to forget to duck. I banged my several times - perhaps some protective padding wouldn't go amiss to help their clients enjoy their stay better. The pool seemed to be well maintained and clean. There did not appear to be anything nearby to offer alternate amusement to the hotel.
