We are just back from a wonderful break staying at the Bosham Boathouse. We stayed in the Sail Loft and Apuldrum and it couldn't have been nicer. Jane is so welcoming and experienced and made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms are spotless and well equipped with the most comfortable beds, lovely Egyptian cotton sheets, gorgeous fluffy towels and access to tea, coffee and cold water. Each room has separate access and even its very own outside area - just perfect, particularly now when cleanliness and social distancing is key. There's a scenic walk to the Bosham harbour which is so beautiful and home to The Anchor Bleu pub where we enjoyed a great seafood meal. We visited Pallant House Gallery, Chichester Cathedral, picnicked in the gorgeous Bishop's Palace Gardens followed by an afternoon on the beaches at East and West Wittering - the B&B is ideally located for all these. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Jane!

Jane is very friendly and welcoming, and gave me tips on places to see and options for eating out. Her Covid precautions can not be faulted and I felt very safe both in my room and in the breakfast room, where her Full English is definately recommended. In these Covid times it is an added bonus that The Bosham Boathouse's bedrooms and the breakfast room are all accessed independently by external doors from the colourful and well maintained garden. In better weather breakfast can also be enjoyed outdoors. A wonderful stay, The Bosham Boathouse is most definately recommended for a lovely relaxing break.

There's lots of good things to say about the Boathouse and I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

The property is located just outside Fishbourne and Bosham on a fairly busy road although, having said that, the rooms themselves are quiet and I had the best night's sleep in ages.

We stayed one night in the ground floor Garden Room which, like the other Boathouse rooms, has its own private access at the back of the main property (parking is at the front and there is plenty of it).

The room was a good size, comfortable, clean and stylishly appointed with everything we needed, including a coffee machine. As a nice touch, Jane, our warm and friendly host, also brought us bottles of chilled water and fresh milk. The bed was comfortable and I slept like a log.

We loved the private, sheltered seating area outside our room which overlooked the beautiful main garden. Despite strong winds the next morning, it was warm enough to eat our breakfast outside. Jane brought this out to us as, due to Covid, her breakfast room was closed. There was fresh orange juice, yoghurt and fruit, warm croissants, coffee and a delicious cooked breakfast (for which we paid a little extra). As a bonus, the breakfast included a freshly laid egg courtesy of the resident hen!

While the main reason for our stay was to visit family during the day, we did manage to fit in an early evening walk from the Boathouse to the nearby waterside village of Bosham where there are a couple of pubs, a cafe serving takeaway refreshments and a hotel/restaurant. It's well worth a visit.

In this strange Covid-conscious world, we felt very 'safe' at The Boathouse and really enjoyed our relaxing stay. It's a shame we were only there for one night but I wouldn't hesitate to book again when we next visit family in Chichester. Thank you!

Our experience of this b&b has been so good that I am leaving this review before I've even checked out yet! The whole place is overseen by Jane, who is utterly delightful and always on hand at the end of a phone if you need milk in the room etc. We stayed in the Chidham room which is at the front on the ground floor and has a very nice feel when you walk in. The bed is large, comfortable and with the best bed linen I've ever come across in a b&b (and I am ridiculously fussy about pillows, mattresses and duvets). There is a Nespresso machine which has finally forced me to wake up and join the 21st century, so now I've worked out how to use it I will have to buy one. Other touches, such as a table in the window, a digitally-controlled heated towel-rail and very large sift white bath towels, along with Covid-safe levels of cleaning and gel provided in the room, mark this establishment out as a place of real quality. Jane is a lovely person, concerned as to whether she has remembered everything and got everything right. Well, Jane, you absolutely have. We loved it. Thank you.

First time down in this neck of the woods and we looked around (via the web) for a B&B that looked good, was clearly covid secure and aware, plus reasonably priced. The Bosham Boathouse went beyond our expectations in every way. Jane was kindness itself in her patience in advising us of local restaurants and in her interest for what we were planning to do in the two days we were there. The rooms are stunning, private and very clean, with great views and an outside seating area just for us. There are lovely gardens with comfortable seating areas. Rachel quickly gained control and understanding of the coffee machine provided in our room - with fresh milk and water (no plastic) kept beautifully cool in a fridge provided, unobtrusively, in our accommodation. Jane was never intrusive but provided a very warm welcome and delightful experience. Breakfast could be eaten inside or outside and was a lovely morning treat - and the full English breakfast kept us going practically all day without feeling over fed! This was a very special two days away for us, with lots of exciting plans. Staying at the Bosham Boathouse added to the brilliance of our brief, but delightful, break.

We stayed at The Bosham Boathouse for two nights midweek and had a wonderful experience. The room (we stayed in The Chidam) was cosy and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Jane ensured the room was spotless for our arrival and has taken extra measures to ensure the safety of guests during their stay. The continental breakfast was refreshing and light and the full english had only the finest ingredients (eggs were cooked perfectly). From pillows to towels to cold water on arrival, this charming B&B seems to have thought of everything. Well located between beautiful nature spots and only a short drive away from the Witterings.

Would highly recommend!

We recently stayed in the Garden room and Apuldram room. The rooms were spotlessly clean and stylishly decorated with super comfy beds and pillows with luxury linens. Each room has its own private outdoor space with seating as well as a lovely communal garden to explore. Our host Jane was very friendly and could not have been more helpful.
The location is brilliant for exploring the Sussex coastline and we visited Bosham harbour, Emsworth, Chichester Pagham and Selsey. It is also within walking distance to a pub, an Indian restaurant, fish and chips, local shops and a garden centre with a cafe. Definitely worth a visit.

The friendliest welcome on arrival started a great weekend away. The room and en suite were spotless and everything we needed had been catered for; tea, coffee, toiletries, towels, parking, TV and wifi all available. The room was cosy, had a dressing table, wardrobe and drawers as well as 2 sets of table and chairs to enjoy breakfast at should you want it delivered to your room! We stayed in the Sail Loft. The B&B is well located for walks to the nearby harbour, Roman palace and plenty of local pubs, also Chichester city is only a 10 minute drive. The breakfast options were fantastic, catering for all, but the cooked breakfast was beautiful and all cooked by Jane herself. Would most definitely recommend this lovely place and would love to come back in the summer

Just back from our second visit to the Bosham Boathouse (the first being August 2020) and everything was just as lovely as the first time.

We stayed for two nights in the Sail Loft which suited us fine as it gave us plenty of space to spread out, both upstairs and downstairs. Downstairs is the shower room (fantastic shower!) tea/coffee making, a good-sized table and a very useful mini fridge. Upstairs is very comfortably and stylishly designed for relaxation. There's a useful desk and chair if you need to bring your laptop with you (as my husband did). We especially loved the mini wardrobe and shelves (so much so that we are going to order one for ourselves!).

We booked the adjacent Garden Room for my elderly mum (which we stayed in last time). Next time (there will be a next time, we like it so much here!) we will book the Sail Loft and The Apuldram rooms as they interconnect.

As last year, everything was done to a very high standard, which we appreciated, and Jane was a charming host. The beautiful garden is the icing on the cake.

Although the Boathouse is located on a fairly busy road and our bedroom area faced the front, we were not disturbed by traffic and slept well (and I'm a light sleeper).

Within walking distance (about 1 mile) is Bosham and we had drinks and good pub food there at the Anchor Bleu, where you can sit outside, and a fantastic lunch at the Millstream Hotel (open only for lunch for non-residents - not cheap but very enjoyable).

All in all, another excellent stay and we'll definitely be back.

We booked a couple of nights away in Bosham as my husband had spent a lot of time around this area as a child so it held some very special memories.
We also wanted to get a good feel for the area as we’d like to retire down that way one day.

The owner Jane was very helpful with answering some questions I had about the area and local restaurants prior to our trip.

She was very warm and welcoming on our arrival, showed us to our room and gave us all the information we needed about our stay.
The room itself was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Toiletries, towels and hairdryer were all provided. Tea and coffee were provided with fresh milk and water in the mini fridge.
We had a little table and chairs on a small decked area outside our front door, lovely place to have a couple of quiet hours relaxing after a day exploring.
Breakfast was served in a lovely airy dining room overlooking the garden. The breakfast was of a good quality and very tasty, cooked by Jane herself.

We had a wonderful stay and felt very welcomed and comfortable staying at this lovely B&B. I’d highly recommend.
