This B and B is in a wonderful old cottage with beams and lots of interesting antique furniture and paintings of the owners ancestors. The twin bedroom is up some steep stairs and is very comfortable with tea and coffee making. There is a shower room and toilet downstairs and a small private lounge. The pub down the road does...

My fiancée and I (now my wife!) stayed here for just one night on a little weekend walking break just before we got married a few weeks ago. It's the most charming little place, full of history and character, and the landlady was absolutely lovely, and full of stories from times gone by. The room was lovely, and you get...

We stayed at Brook Green B&B last summer (September 2013) for one night while we were walking the South Downs way. The owner is a very charming elderly lady. The House is very interesting and has a long history. If you arrive in the evening then a visit to the local ´Sportsman Pub´ is recommendable (the food is quite good,...

Firstly, I can't believe the gall of the first reviewer to write such a ghastly review. My girlfriend and I had a really nice walking/sightseeing weekend. We arrived in the early evening after walking from Arundel castle, which was spectacular, i'd highly recommend going. We were welcomed in and showed our rooms which included a nice upstairs twin bedroom, a...

I am honestly at a loss as to why anyone would write a review as vindictive as that by a recent guest at Brook Green and I will try to explain why. On the positive side, you could not ask for a finer example of a quaint English cottage. The rickety stairs, sloping floors and low beams are all part...

I feel the previous review somewhat harsh, as i personally found the property had great charm, and found the owner very helpful and interesting, even if a little eccentric. The house is a very old thatched character property, which although very old, and in some need of some updates, was not dirty or as unclean as previously suggested, but just...

Where to begin, there are so many things wrong with this place my mind spins at recalling. Truly doubtful this place has been cleaned since the 1960s; be ready to make lots of new, insect friends if you stay. The plastic cups by the bedroom faucet were used; as were the moldy tea bags provided (and no biscuits). There was...

We have just received an email from the visitors in question from Minneapolis who said that they did not write the review. For those worried about staying at Brook Green I have listed the following: It is a 16c olde worlde thatched cottage, beams, floors and stairs are several hundred years old and were probably originally built out of old...
