I stayed in the double room which was very clean, and the bed comfortable. Everything had been placed into plastic bags for Covid-19-proofing, which was an excellent idea. On the table beside the TV was a tray full of complimentary drinks which puts most hotel chains to shame! The en-suite was also clean and fully functional.

Each of the rooms is accessible via a private door on a covered veranda.
Breakfast is available immediately opposite the rooms in the Granary. There was an excellent selection of breakfast cereals (all individually wrapped), breads and fruit. There was also a good selection of hot and cold drinks available.

Jean is an absolute legend! She's extremely helpful, warm and welcoming, and (rightly) blooms with pride over her property.

I was fully satisfied with my stay and would both happily return here next time I'm in the area as well as recommending it to other travellers. It was nice to have a personal touch to the stay rather than the clinical anonymous experience you get at a chain hotel.

Just spent l night at Otters Green bed and breakfast in Botley. Lovely compact comfortable in a single room with own front entrance and shared covered veranda. Breakfast was a lovely cold buffet with plenty of choice in the separate granary opposite the 3 bedrooms surrounded by flowers and a lovely rose bed. I chose to eat breakfast on the veranda as each room has table and chairs.
The refreshment tea tray had a fantastic choice and better options than most top hotels.
The bedroom was clean and the B&B has Covid 19 safety procedures in place and all crockery, utensils are individually wrapped in the granary and bedroom. Jean the owner very welcoming and attentive. A lovely and secluded find and will definitely be returning

We had a lovely stay at Otters' Green! We came to Southampton to see family for the first time in many months due to recent events, and our visit was made even better by the hospitality we experienced at this lovely B&B.

Jean is a fabulous host and went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect for us. The room was cosy and had everything we needed, though we knew that if we needed anything else all we had to do was ask!

Breakfast in the Granary was as described and we enjoyed the selection and variety on offer. We also enjoyed talking to other guests on our first morning in the Granary, though if you're looking for a more private dining experience, there is also a table in the room (we were in the double room), or there is under cover seating outside all the rooms also.

The location is quiet and we were never disturbed.

Finally, our dog, Ruby, had an even more wonderful stay than us! She was given lots of attention by our host and other guests, was treated to a fair few biscuits and had beautiful gardens to explore! Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a pet friendly hotel.

All in all, we had a fabulous stay and have already booked to come back again! Thank you Jean!

We stayed at Jean's establishment for 4 nights to visit friends and have little trips around the area.

It was great having our own key to our own room with shower, TV etc. We could walk over to The Granary and help ourselves to full continental breakfast: cereals, yoghurts, juice, fruit, toast, muffins, coissants etc.

You can walk into Botley in 5 minutes (just be careful crossing the road) - you have the choice of an Indian, Three pubs (serving Otter beer, Wadhams, Green King) and there is an italian restaurant and a co-op and some little shops so great for everything you need.

We are planning to come back in the Spring next year.

What a charming little b and b hidden of the road in a peaceful pretty setting. The owner could not do enough to ensure your stay was perfect. Breakfast was fab and as the weather was good it was perfect eating outside our room or on 1 of the numerous table and chairs. Definitely go back and highly recommended. Also as with new covid rules Jean the owner had done everything to make sure you are safe
She even made our little izzy feel super special

We stayed at Otters Green for 3 nights before leaving on a cruise. Although the B&B is just off a busy road, we really couldn't hear the traffic once we were on the property. The lay out of the property is lovely - 3 rooms laid out next to one another, with private baths, private entrances, and just across from the breakfast room, The Granary. The gardens are lovely and there are fields beyond.
Jean, our hostess, was a delight! We knew in advance that the B&B was off a busy road, and once we were there, Jean told us where to go to cross that road more easily.
Breakfast was continental style with many options. We had a kettle in the room and could get milk for tea from the fridge in the Granary.
Otters Green is a short walk into the village of Botley - we had a lovely dinner at the Indian restaurant. It's also a short drive to the nearby retail park (we picked up picnic items from Marks and Spencer and Tesco), and a bit further on the motorway to Southampton, so it was an ideal place for us to stay before our cruise.

I had a lovely overnight stay at Otter's Green. Jean really couldn't have been any more welcoming or friendly. I loved the little touches of Lotus biscuits on the tea tray in my room.
I booked the single room which was perfect for me. The shower was fantastic in terms of the water power and gorgeous multi function shower head.
I enjoyed a good breakfast in the Granary. There were plenty of tea choices. Jean was kind enough to get me some skimmed milk for my tea and breakfast when I mentioned it when booking.
She also gave me a great recommendation for a local pub to eat at.
Travelling on my own I really liked not having to walk down a long corridor to get to my room and I felt very safe.
Thank you Jean, if I am ever down your way again I will certainly book again!

This is our second stay at Otters Green and we've booked number 3 already. It is in the most beautiful setting and the accommodation is stunning. We have stayed in both the B&B and the self-catering lodge, both are quite out of this world. The host is absolutely delightful, makes you feel welcome and relaxed and caters for all your possible needs. She is also totally on top of all the covid precautions. I would recommend this B&B to anyone without hesitation.

We have just returned home after a 4 night stay. We chose the chalet as it was close to family and allowed dogs and what a good choice it was.
It was like staying in a fairy house in the woods but with all the modern comforts to make it an enjoyable stay.
Jean had thought of everything to make you comfortable. The bed and pillows were comfy and warm. There were even hot water bottles for those extra cold nights, although the heaters made it so cosy we didn't need them. The tea tray provided had so many extras on it we could relax after a 9 hour drive and didn't need to venture out until the morning. She had even provided for the dogs.
We will definitely return to this delightful accommodation in beautiful Botley.
Thank you Jean for making us and our 2 dogs feel so welcome.

A great find in a great location for ports etc. Also 4min walk from shops, Curry house & pub.
Jean is a most wonderful host who can't do enough for you.
Lovely little chalets with everything you could want. The continental breakfast spread was beautiful & set out in the quaint 'Granary'.. with an abundance pastries, meats, cheeses, fresh fruits, cereals, teas, coffees etc... i will definitely be visiting again!
