Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A group of us have just spent a glorious weekend here with our families. From start to finish it was perfect. Seamless check in through number plate recognition, excellent communication beforehand made things so easy. The campsite is gorgeous, well set out large pitches with plenty of room in each field area, pods in between, hedges and well kept paths made for privacy and separation of areas. The shower and toilet blocks were very large and absolutely immaculate for the whole weekend, a gentleman was cleaning non stop and emptying bins all weekend. The showers were hot and free and there was even music playing in them. The on site shop sticked anything you might need and also took orders for fresh baguettes and croissants . The Old Shed was a wonderful cafe serving fantastic quality breakfasts, lunches, cakes etc. Really we need not have brought any food with us at all!!
The grounds were the highlight, our children ranging from 4 upwards were able to roam with total independence and safety, there was a large football pitch, zip wire, playground, table tennis area and tennis court. There were trails through the forest and lovely walks around the perimeter of the campsite. We had a dog with us and she had a great time in those areas.
We would cone back here in a heartbeat, we have been to other campsites in the area and this was the best by far. An example of how to run a fantastic site. Thank you!!

We booked Cotswold view campsite the night before we were due to leave for our family trip in a campervan. We had booked a site not far from
Cotswold view & read scathing reviews.. so we had to find somewhere to go quickly! What a relief to find Cotswolds View what a fabulous campsite! Toilet and shower facilities were clean (regularly cleaned) there was plenty of space on site and social distancing was really well adhered to. The Old Shed cafe was awesome, delicious breakfasts and wonderfully courteous staff. Our sons enjoyed playing with other children at the park. Overall we had a lovely stay & will be back! Thankyou x

It could have easily been 5*!
We’ve been to this site for many years. Even when little ourselves. The signing in process was smooth running and contact free. The pitches here are fantastic. Without a doubt perfect for those pitching together. It feels very very safe here to have the kids at the park and to go to the toilet block themselves. Staff can always be seen around the park. The farm walk is perfect. Great cafe on site along with a little shop which supplies all the essentials even fresh baguettes and bakes. Perfect ground for camping. HOWEVER...this year we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the toilets. In fact they were almost bad enough for me to to be tempted to report them instead because we know this site and understand how difficult and hard times must be my partner sent a complaint email expressing our concerns. They did explain that their hired cleaners had failed to show and I do appreciate that keeping on top of it themselves would have been hard work. Another concern was over their care taker and the way in which he dealt with a dangerous defect from the play equipment where some metal could have caused harm to a child. He popped some parcel tape on it which was ok, but the day we were leaving we saw a different care taker come and remove this exposing the metal again.
Our stay here was not as good as it could have been and as it has been so many years on the trot but I believe that after letting them know the issues they would have dealt with those accordingly. We will be back. It’s like our camping comfort blanket and although the facilities need updating we just can’t help but love it here.

Currently on site and been here for 6 days of an 8 day stay recommended by friends.
Lovely site quite remote so no surrounding noise but walking distance via footpath to nearby Charlbury that has a co-op, chip van at weekends and several pubs.

The site is very clean and well maintained with a wooded dog walk, old shed restaurant and onsite shop.
Although we didn’t use the onsite facilities they did look tired but very clean and clear Covid compliant signage and procedures.

The automatic check in is excellent and in my opinion he kept after the Covid crisis. It’s definitely the future so well done.

The only thing I’d like to see is the chemical waste point better signed as we struggled to find it. Eventually we found out it’s to the rear of the toilet block.

Great site, highly recommend and will definitely return.

Fantastic campsite, with lots of places around to visit. Site is very clean and well kept, staff are very helpful. We had a small issue with our pitch being too far from shower block with someone on crutches and they were extremely helpful in moving us to somewhere closer, despite being a very busy site!
Facilities are good, clean and there is always hot water!
Would definitely recommend this site and would love to return!

Just had a couple of days camping here and I have to say its been great. All the staff were friendly and helpful, it's well organised and the facilities were cleaned regularly. Even though it was busy, there was plenty of space so you didn't feel cramped in. There was also great play area for the kids to run around and farm animals to see. The cafe onsite was fab with good food, we will definitely be returning in and would highly recommend booking

I’ll start with the positives...
Well kept clean site. Lots of staff working hard to keep it looking tidy and clean.
Well stocked shop with pretty much everything you would need for a few days away.
A couple of parks for the kids to play, tennis courts and a table tennis under cover.
Lovely walks from the campsite, a few farm animals including gorgeous donkeys.
You can walk into Charlbury although we didn’t as it was too hot for the dog.

The Old Shed is nice for breakfast, coffee etc.
We had a pizza on the Saturday night again most enjoyable. There was also a ‘chip box’ serving chips and sausage on the Saturday night 6-7pm

However... it was a little noisy.
Chatter, laughing and clapping went on well after midnight despite an 11pm ‘quiet time’
I’ve never had to complain about noise before but found myself having a little chat to the staff about the noise levels on an evening.
And there seemed to be A LOT of kids running around pretty much from 7.30am until after 11pm! I felt at one point we were in Peter Pans never land with his lost boys! We have two children so I’m not one of those adults who prefer silence but these seemed to be pretty much allowed to run riot around the campsite. Again I did bring this to the attention of staff. The lady running the shop did find me afterwards and let me know they had tried to address it. I did feel for her trying to serve the 20 kids who had lined up at the shop at 8am trying to buy the shop out of sweets and chocolate which resulted in a long queue of adults who just wanted some fresh bread for breakfast. Again something I think should have been addressed?
Also the toilet shower blocks whilst clean(ish) could do with an upgrade.

Not sure if we had chose a weekend where there was a large group booking and so have gained the wrong impression of this site.

From our experience, if you are going with friends and want a campsite where you can make noise go here. If you want a quiet break this may not be the most suitable option.

Thank you for your feedback. It is great to hear you found the site tidy and enjoyed the facilities and the donkeys! We are also glad to hear you enjoyed The Old Shed and the wonderful pizza! We are sorry to hear you experienced evening noise on site. As you mention a member of staff did try to address this issue for you and we hope this helped. Unfortunately as we are a family friendly site, weekends and school holidays can mean there is more children on site. Out of holiday weekdays are generally the quieter times in terms of the people/children on site if you were hoping to return. Again, we are sorry you had a disrupted stay but we do hope you can join us again in the future at a quieter time. Kind regards, Cotswold View Caravan and Camping.

This site offers a self-check in systems which is very efficient. The site is very clean with no signs of litter anywhere around the site. The pitches are of a good size and can easily accommodate a tourer and awning as well as a car. I did, however, find that the water pressure to the caravan was very low. The electrical supply was excellent and could cope well with 3kw. The site also offers free Wi-Fi. The shower and toilet block were spotless at all times and even had piped music.

Would I visit this site again? Yes

Would I recommend this site to others? Yes.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed here with our friends and children from our school. The reason we come back every time I the fact that this place is PERFECT in every way. We had our own grade area to ourselves but the whole place is separated with hedges and shady trees with loads of space for everyone. Nobody is packed in and there is a lovely atmosphere. The children can safely roam around covering 2 lovely play areas, a huge forest with trails and zip line and football area. We played ping pong and tennis and just had the most relaxing time. The bathrooms are spotless and huge with hot water all of the time, the cafe is yummy and we ordered croissants from the store for breakfast.
This really is the best site around and is in a beautiful area too.

We love this campsite. We used to have a campervan but came back this time and stayed in Robin, one of the permanent pods. We had a fantastic time. Disc Golf, tennis, table tennis etc. The site staff are always running around tidying, emptying bins and helping people.
The site is tidy and well established with lots to do.
