Good beaches good location

“Good beaches good location ” We stay at Ao Thai Restaurant for one night with my family and small children. Such a chilled out relaxed on a nice beach. Our children are enjoying, love Staff friendly and helpfully Food is good but little high price

A perfect stay

Amazing location, clean and beautiful bungalow near the beach. Breakfast is good and also great food in the restaurant. Staff is extremely friendly. Paradise !! Host answers all your questions. Speaks Thai, German and English. A hidden gem in the south of Thailand.

A lovely stay

We stayed for 2 nights over the weekend, and loved it. Uwe is accomodating with our meals request - where we had a German pork knuckle made for our dinner. The mix of German and Thai cuisine is amazing. With prior notice, the seafood can be freshly bought from the market and prepare to satisfaction. We were also grateful for Uwe's arranging us a boat trip to Khu Khut for the red lilies / lotus, and also for recommending the nearby municipal fresh food market. Overall, very clean rooms and pleased with the service although the team's English is not their first language. Only one pillow provided per person, and it was not a problem to request for more. The property is divided by a small road - rooms by the poolside adjoining the main lobby, where breakfast is served and the rooms by the beach which houses a nice dining area for the evening. Highly recommended to those seeking a nice place in the heart of Songkhla.…

Truly a hidden gem

A paradise for families or couples who love peacefulness and tranquility. The owner runs the place with great commitments. All the resort staffs are very polite and helpful. The food served at the restaurant is very delicious and the price is fair. We indeed had a very pleasant stay.

Excellent secluded getaway

Lovely secluded getaway with a private beach. Beautiful bungalows and a great menu. Very hospitable German owner and lovely staff also. Away from the standard tourist scene and very quiet and serene. Definitely recommended and will return.

Best place in Songkhla

This was our second stay and definitely won't be our last! We love this place. Great, quiet beach, great pool, excellent accommodations, beautifully manicured landscaping, and the restaurant is the best! Fantastic Thai and western food, the lasagne was our favourite! We celebrated my son's birthday with friends at the resort, wonderful memories were made. We can't wait to return!

Nice stay out of the covid crisis

Our family definitely needed a break from staying home and getting bored for months now. This place was recommended by a mate for its peacefulness and nice beach. Once again he was right. We had a wonderful time. Food was good especially the home made tiramisu. Bungalows are simple but comfortable. This was the cleanest beach we enjoyed in non tourist area. We saw one staff cleaning it the morning. Staffs were very friendly. Got sting by a warm (bloody hurt) and got nicely adviced by one of their staff while I was freaking out. There is small village 5min drive so you can get anything you want . The resort is next to some fisherman houses so was very nice to see locals living and coming back from a night fish trip. Was also cool to see some of those big fighting bulls walking on the beach. All to say that I highly recommend this place for a nice and pleasant time.…

Just a brilliant place

Saw some good reviews of this place so decided to break my trip up the East coast and stay for three nights. i was in a room in the main building. further down there are a couple of dozen bungalows. the room was well furnished, super spacious and very clean. there was a huge balconey looking over the very nice garden. the staff were always nice and helpful and Uwe was a great host making the personal effort to make sure everyone was looked after. the restaurant served really well cooked thai food. i didnt try the curry wurst. the beach was kept clean and the small but nice pool was immaculate. Good value and a great stop off for me. the best Ive stayed at on the east coast. a lovely mixture of homely and hotel. my one request would be to get a good (premier league) sport channel on the tv.…

Full of surprises

I’d read many good things about this place before coming here, but the reality is all that and more. The resort is beautifully laid out with neatly manicured gardens, a lovely shaded pool area and a restaurant right on the beach. Everything is spotless, not only in the room, but the paths, pool and the beach sand. It’s very obvious that this is a priority. There are lots of little unique things here. I had to confirm three times that all mini-bar items were FREE. Was I hearing “fee” and my ears were playing tricks? Nope. The beer, soft drinks and all the snacks in the mini-bar are FREE of charge. What about the gasoline for the motorbike we rented? No, that’s free too. And I love the Roy Liechtenstein pop art in the bathroom! I think every guest will find their own jaw-dropping surprises here, it’s that kind of place. The hotel stages various events that you can join. There are tours to neighboring attractions and optional buffet dinners. All the staff here are superb. They really walk the extra mile in a way that is increasingly rare in hotels nowadays. Uwe the owner is very generous with his time and very helpful with anything you need. He is very hands on with the day to day goings on at the resort and his enthusiasm is truly inspiring. Getting there and away was easy (although we actually didn’t want to leave). We took a bus from Nakhon Si Thammarat bound for Songkhla. The driver knew of the resort and dropped us off right in front. On our departure day, we took a songtheaw to Songkhla from the same spot for 35 baht. I came to the Ao Thai Resort as part of my long-term mission to visit every province in Thailand (Songkhla Province is #47). If and when I someday achieve my target, I plan to do a Greatest Hits tour. Ao Thai Resort will be on that playlist, I’m pretty sure of that!…

Amazing

What a lovely place! Beach, room, food, service (and the weather) - excellent! Tip: ask Uwe for a motorbike or a bicycle. There are so many interesting things to see around the resort. Uwe is also available to guide his guests. We‘ve had very interesting tours with him. Thxxxx again.
