Stayed one night here on a trip to Norfolk. We landed on a Sunday late afternoon and hadn't realised that there was no food after about 4.30 so had to look elsewhere for a meal. However, they did recommend another local pub, where the food was amazing and phoned to book the table for us.
The room was clean and the bed comfy, with TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a reasonable sized en suite and shower.
Breakfast in the morning, was provided in a small area of the restaurant, by the manager on duty. He did a good job and we both had great scrambled eggs.
A good value stop on the way and an excellent nights sleep, even though this was the weekend of storm D and it was incredibly windy!

We booked a lunch time table for four adults, two youngsters and an 11 month old grandchild.
We were all made very welcome, a high chair provided for the "newest family member" along with a quickly prepared meal for him while chef cooked our meals.
Each of us ordered a different meal, all of which were excellent and generously portioned.
Congratulations to the boss and his accommodating staff.
We will be back!
A comment? Dining chairs were not high enough for the height of the tables although the waitress did find some higher chairs for those who wanted.
This a lovely country pub with a friendly ambience.
Give it a try.

Rooms are clean and comfortable but very small. No wardrobe. En-suite bathroom has shower but no bath. No cooked breakfast but given breakfast bags with a lot of sugary items. £85 seems a lot to pay given location in a not much visited corner of Lincolnshire.

Pros:
Bed, Toilet etc clean
Free Car Parking
Tea / Coffee in room.
Remote staff responded to enquiries quickly.
Shower Gel etc provided
Generally peaceful Surroundings.

Cons:
Extremely bad state of cosmetic repair - paint peeling, door warped, window locks not great. Looks and feels very dated.
Very cramped bathroom.
Very thin walls / noise isolation - you can hear people talking / urinating next door etc. Also huge creaking from footsteps on floor above.
Pub shut on Mondays / Tuesdays so no food.
No breakfast available on any days.
Air freshener in room possibly masking a bad smell
Expensive for what it is.

Very good value for money with regard to the prices paid. Stayed with a friend for Burghley Horse Trials so had a twin room. The beds were comfy, the room was clean, there was tea and coffee. The shower was not brilliant but better if you just used it as hand held so was adequate. Breakfasts did not start until 9.30 pm which was a bit unusual so we just eat at the event. Friendly staff and although a pub it really did shut down after 11.00pm so we were not bothered by noise. For the money we paid if you just want some clean accommodation would recommend.

We booked in, only to be told we don’t do cooked breakfast we give you a box they banged on the bedroom door at 2330 and left it in the hallway.
The fridge was too small to fit them in mind you it was bigger than the tv.

The meal was average but didn’t have coke or Pepsi in a can or bottle only flat pump stuff, they tried three times to get a Bacardi and coke with any sort of fizz so I gave up.
We won’t be back we got up and went out for breakfast instead of relaxing in the hotel.

The pub is lovely, nothing too much trouble for the staff. Dining area is very comfortable, with log fires, comfy chairs, food is superb and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good on a hot plate, quality sausages and bread too! The rooms are very clean, but very tired. The mattress was collapsed on one side leasing to a sleepless night.

Overall I would love another visit for a meal, but would be reluctant to stay over.

Caravan area to the rear however looked brilliant with hookups, so that mat be a solution!

We were welcomed and shown to our table. The service was excellent and the children although 11+ were treated to sweets and Easter chick wind up toys giving much amusement for my mum. We were a large family group and kept up dated with the progress of our order and meal. Our dog was even treated to biscuits and they provided water for him. I highly recommend going to the wishing well for a meal as well as a pint! Lovely place, great meal and super hosts. Thank you

We stayed 4 nights. The day to day staff are very young but outdo most of the big companies when it comes to customer service. Friendly and professional. Room was small but bright and clean. The facilities are second to none. The only issue is breakfast. The continental breakfast isn't really. It's more of a selection of breakfast bars and a bit of fruit. The instant porridge isn't great. The weekend cooked breakfast I couldn't comment on because it started each day after we had left. Out of 4 breakfast we had 1 sub standard packed breakfast and s bacon bun thet the Manager kindly organised for us on our last day. Don't let that put you off though. It's a beautiful place in z beautiful part of the Country.

Went here on Monday in January 20% off whole bill shall I say firstly! So menu limited, waiter told us starter specials but not main specials. I had lasagne (big enough for at least two people), good with garlic bread and salad which was disappointing just salad leaves. Son had ham and eggs which again was good but was slightly disappointed when he saw the ultimate burgers come out.... menu needs to go into more detail!!! Burgers were very good. Other son had pie delicious. Would definitely visit again but they just need to be more descriptive on menu and make a salad more interesting!! Puddings OMG 😮 were huge, one had baileys cheesecake good but needed more baileys!! Sticky toffee pudding to die for 🤤 croissant bread and butter pudding didn’t work for me! As said before a gem of a place choose wisely... 💕
