In 1991 we came for the first time at Gesser. In total we have been there 22 Times.We always say that we are coming home if we arrive there, that is the strength of the Gesser family. The rooms are wel equipped, spotless clean. Breakfast buffet is great, for all kinds of breakfast there is something. Dinner is perfect, you can choose between 2 starters 2 main and 3 dessert. Presentation quality and diversity are at high Standard. There is a bar where you van have a drink. We recommend hotel Gesser for all guests who enjoy family hotels where you will find a personal touch.

Fantastic family hotel. The room was nice and large and extremely clean. The breakfast included an excellent selection of foods and beverages. We couldn’t beat this location for skiing in Austria and Italy. Hotel gesser was a wonderful stay because the family is so friendly and hospitable. They are fluent in English and German, which is a bonus!

Really nice family hotel with very friendly staff, good rooms and great food. We went there for a ski holiday and had a very positive impression from everything. There are some great ski resorts a short drive away. There is a great ski resort in Sillian as well.

Our second stay with family Gesser was better than the first. Wonderful room toward the front gave us direct access to the garden. Wonderful food in the evening if you opt for the full board. We have made Hotel Gesser out "go to" place when ever we are in the area.

Very nice , updated rooms, everybody is very friendly and helpful and the food, especially diners, is fantastic. We are visiting this hotel for 15 years and will be doing so also in future :-) If you are active, there are so many possiilities aroud.

Great family run hotel in the heart of Hochpustertal. During our recent stay 2 - 6 September we had the pleasure to stay with Family Gesser in their excellent hotel. Rooms were updated, clean, and very quiet. We also had the pleasure of dining and the food was top notch. Breakfast was more than just a simple European continental spread, but a great meal to start the day. Dinner was fantastic, very traditional spanning German, Austrian, and Italian tastes. Hotel Gesser is our new "go to" place to stay when we are in the Hochpustertal region.

My family visit Hotel Geser for 14 years; Sillian is really in the middle of beautiful nature, so you can go hiking, cycling, paraglinding, you can go to Lienz, to Cortina, to Dolomites, visit beautiful lakes, or just cyclin to Lienz 30 km down at the River Drava... you can explore small valleys that are just around the corner... The possibility's are endless. But the main reason why we are keep coming back to this particular hotel Geser and to Sillian, is because of the kindness of people, who run this Hotel and of the people who live in Sillian. Al the best I must say. Personal approach, excellent cusine and prices are appropriate too. We will go again next year :-)

The second time we were here, but the last time we stayed for only one night, this time just over a week. Service is great and everything is spotlessly clean all the time. The food is very good and traditionally Austrian which we greatly appreciate, maybe the food is served on a little too hot plates sometimes. The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings on foot or by bike. We bring with us our racing mountain bikes (expensive and attractive to thieves ...) and the hotel has secure storage in the basement which is important to us. Very good laundry service, nice sauna. You get great value for money at this hotel!
