I have stayed in many Austrian hotels during the summers over the last few years, and this ranks as one of the best for several reasons. First of all it is located down a small side road, which makes the location nice and quiet with very little passing traffic. Our room was good value and was of excellent quality and...

We liked our stay at this hotel. Good service, nice atmosphere and good rooms. We did expect a bit more of the food after reading all the reviews here. The food is good, but we have definitely eaten better in Austria already. There are sometimes too many tastes combined on one plate which don't always mix well together.

We were visiting this skiing area second time and wanted to escape busy Mayrhofen ending up in Finkenberg and for us this was the perfect decision. We stayed at the Dornauhof because we felt it had everything to offer we did require, good food, perfect spa and even better rooms. Staff is not unfriendly but exactly what can be expected...

We stayed at the hotel 4 times (2010-2013) during the carnival period and we will definitely go back again! The location is good for people who like to discover different Zillertal ski areas - not in the direct city centre, sufficient parking. Rooms are nice, warm Austrian style - you have the redecorated ones (think that redecoration dates from ca...

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel located in the Zillertal valley. The staff was extremely nice and helpful in planning our hikes. The half-board option was a good value. The meals were very nicely prepared. We visited in late July and I would give this hotel an excellent rating but the flies in the dinning room were maddening and...

Hotel is located up the hill from Mayrhofen and in a nice pleasant village. It is an easy 5 min walk to the ski lift in Finkenberg, plenty of parking, free internet access, located next to a couple of nice hiking trails; this hotel has it all. They provide half board and have a very friendly staff. Rooms are large...

We were looking for better than average hotel to spend few quiet summer days in the mountains. This hotel is ranked highly at many review sites and we must confirm the hotel staff is great. They did all effort to satisfy our needs. My wife and I were really pleased! The hotel is located on the edge of the village...

We were entranced by the look of Hotel Dornauhof and its lovely setting in the Ziller Valley, Austria. It's a beautiful traditional alpine design, full of carved wood, balconies with flowers, and an extremely friendly and helpful staff. The room was very large, with a good-sized sitting area and a generous balcony with a very nice view of the mountains....

We stayed at the Dornauhof at the end of January 2012 with our 4 year old daughter and my husbands parents (non skiers). The hotel is really nicely decorated with great attention to detail - we found our duvets folded in different patterns every day and it is cleaner than any hotel i have ever stayed in! Our rooms were...

We stayed over Christmas and were really glad we chose the Dornauhof hotel which had been beautifully decorated. Our room was a good size with a balcony overlooking the gardens. The food was amazing and the Christmas Eve Gala evening was really good, they even had Santa giving out presents and a brass band came in and played towards the...

“There are many room types and if you afford it spend a few Euro's more on the larger rooms; it's worth it.”

“It matters which direction your windows are facing. At the back of the hotel there is something that looks like huge sewage system basin (check satellite view on google maps). It didn't smell but looks ugly considering fantastic scenery around it and constant water flow created noise which some people might not like.”
