Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just next to the square but you have to climb 100 steps or walk a long uphill. We wanted to see the square at night, but we were too tired to walk all that way and there were no taxis available because there was a festival. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty. We had a problem flushing the toilet , it was extremely hard to push the wall mounted button. The tub was extremely tall and difficult to exit. The room was comfortable and stylish.

We were looking for a place to stay in Karpenisi after we did not want to stay in the hotel we originally booked. The staff was welcoming and helpful and gave us a great service from checking in and during our 2 days stay. It is a small nice boutique hotel located just above the center of town and have a great view as well. Highly recommended.

Our ski and leisure holiday was topped up by the brilliant selection of this hotel. It is cosy but elegant and we enjoyed being the guests of a brilliant hospitality by the staff and owners. The breakfast was freshly made by local products and all healthy options were available. We cannot compliment the staff enough as both Dimitra and Fofie made us feel welcome and relaxed. It’s is also located quite close to the ski resort of Velouchi. We are hoping to return soon as we had a lovely and relaxing holiday.

The rooms are very clean, comfortable, warm quiet, all having balconies with great views. The hotel is centrally located in the main Karpenisi square and is the ideal basecamp to explore mountain Greece........I will be back for sure

I stayed at the Selestina Boutique Hotel for 3 weeks in June 2017. I felt welcomed from day one by two wonderful hosts, Fofi and Dimitra. They attended to my every need with always a smile on their face. The hotel is well appointed with very comfortable beds, the latest in bathroom fittings, beautifully decorated rooms with quality furnishings and fantastic views of the evergreen surrounding mountains. The location is excellent with only a 3 minute walk to the town square. Overall a very memorable experience....thank you girls! From Gina Melbourne Australia

Thank you very much for your great review! We do appreciate your comments. There is not a mini-bar service in the room, there is just a refrigerator with free bottles of water for our customers. Hope to welcome you again and offer you a relaxing stay!

We arrived there in great need of relaxation and to recover from a very long period of stress. By the time we were leaving after four nights, we felt reborn. Four of the best nights sleep we ever had in any hotel world-wise. A bathroom "experience" second to none. Amazing standards of service, including memorable breakfasts. In short, the moment we expressed a wish, it was fulfilled! The place is maintained at a level seldom seen in hotels of five stars. You feel that you are staying at a top level country house, where you are an honored guest. Although only three minutes of walk from the town center, the view from both sides is fabulous, just sit on the veranda and watch the sunset over the mountains. Furniture, fittings, decor and bed and bathroom linen are of the highest quality, including gorgeous bathrobes. There are also two true treasures, the two young ladies at the reception who not only know everything about the region, but make you feel special at all times. When the time came, we were reluctant to leave. But we promised to ourselves that we are coming back soon, very soon!!
