Me and my girlfriend spent here 3 nights during our visiting time of Samaná area. The place is very cool, right in front of the beach and with super nice terrance with seaview and amacas. The room was clean and with the right dimensions. The breakfast typical from the place and personell kind. Only little note, they don't provide bathroom towels. Definetly recommend for staying at las galeras.

Super nice hotel. Don't expect the Hilton though. The pool is nice it is like 27 meters from the beach. The room we had was big with two basic toilets. We got a free big water bottle which was refilled reducing plastic waste love that. They are are also building a bar and a new reception area. The place was pretty booked and I saw two times that walk in guesst were turned down so my guess it is good to book ahead. Breakfast is nice with super koffee and lovy fresh fruits and honey the marmalade was just awesome. Owner and staff are very helpfull. They accept paypal and cash as payment.

Located very near the main street, the hotel has a beautiful view of the sea that gives peace and welcomes you to relax by the pool. It offers a delicious breakfast. But it can take 45 minutes to be served. Staff is very friendly, even though there are times during the day were no one is around. The apartment is well equipped for cooking. They even offer drinking water. Excellent WIFI quality. Even though beds offer mosquito nets, you will find some mosquitos at night. I recommend to bring your own mosquito spray. I didn't like, few guests were noisy by the pool at night during the weekend. They changed the room towels but not the bed sheets.

Walking distance to two fantastic beaches. Watch the sunrise from your terrace or bed. Close to town but super quiet and peaceful. Beds and bedding very comfortable. Hot water and pressure awesome. Host and staff kind and helpful. Breakfast is delicious! Our family had a very relaxing stay here and I would recommend LaIsleta in a heartbeat.

Our room was large and the King size bed was very comfortable. The owner is very nice and very helpful. He bought a skillet for our kitchenette so that my husband could make pancakes! The best part was the comfortably furnished outdoor space. Ours had a lovely view of the ocean.

We stayed two nights. Not sure what number apartment we had, but we really enjoyed our stay here. The owner is very nice and helpful. I would have given 5 stars, but the breakfast staff wasn’t as friendly as I would have liked. But even saying that we would stay here again. Located within walking distance of playa playita-an awesome beach. Also you can walk easily to great restaurants. We really enjoyed la Joilla. Breakfast was eggs, fruit, cheese and toast. It was good and the view from breakfast is great. We are a family of 6 children 10-15 years of age. The pic is the view from our balcony. We were in the from row-middle apartment.

So what you need to know about this place is that they have two building bodies. One is more "rustic" and traditional, while the other is a bit more modern. It's a matter of preference. We wanted to enjoy an authentic experience and went for the rustic ones. I don't really have any complaints at all. The owner, Dominic, is a super friendly guy and he will gladly help you out with whatever it is you may need. He speaks Spanish, French and English. If you go to Las Galeras, don't take trips from the people randomly approaching you on the streets. Dominic has connections that will give you the same experiences, for much better prices and as a private group too. Same goes for taxi services. We specifically loved the company of his friend Martin. The guy is awesome. However. The mosquitos are an absolute nightmare. We got unlucky with some rainy weather prior to our arrival and they couldn't get rid of the pests in time. Just to be sure though, you better pack some protective spray.

My family and friends had been in La Isleta in the beginning of July and it was the best vacation we had. It was almost empty so we had swimming pool just for us. The place is excellent with exceptional view from the porch, upper floor or breakfast area - ocean and palm trees view. Kitchen: is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your own food (fridge, gas stove, kitchen equipment incl. mokka pot). We even had a blender so I did pina colada's. Rooms: our apartment was #5 and in the ground floor you have a porch with table and 3 benches covered with soft pillows then the kitchen, king-size bed and bathroom. On upper floor there were 2 king-size beds. Above all beds there wa a mosquito net and cooling fan. Yes there is no air condition but after few days you get use to it. Breakfast: is included in the price and you can choose 3 types of egg (soft-boiled egg, fried egg, scrambled eggs) plus you will get fresh fruits, ham and cheese, toasts. There are also cereals for kids. Coffee, tea, juice are also included. Owner: Dominque is super friendly and helpful. He will tell you what to do and where to go and where not to go. So if you have any questions ask him. He lives just between apartments and bar (the same property). Staff: super friendly as well Las Galeras: it's small village with a big community of French and Italians so if you speak one of those languages you will be able to communicate easily. Bring some cash as you won;t be able to pay by credit card. You can of course withdraw cash from ATM as there is a bank but it will allow you to withdraw just 2000 DOP in one transaction. If you have dollars you can exchange to DOP in Western Union very close to bank. There are few shops but small ones with necessary products but very basic selection. If you want to buy cheap fruits ask owner when the "fruit guy is coming to him" as you can buy 3 pineapples for 100DOP. On the main road you will find few restaurants and bars, at the beach there is one local restaurants where you can eat fish plus 3 bars. Beaches: just in front of La Isleta there is main Las Galeras beach from where all boats to Playa Fronton departs. Playa Playita is 15 min walk but you need to pass thru private property and jump thru one fence/wall. It's reachable by car as well. Play Ricon is 30 min by car. There is also nice beach close to Paradise Beach Resort. To summarize we had amazing vacations at La Isleta and Las Galeras. If you have questions just write.
