Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked to stay overnight for a wedding nearby and I'd highly recommend it. Ria & Steve were fantastic hosts - very warm & welcoming. The room & bed were very comfortable and we had a delicious cooked breakfast the next morning. We'll definitely stay again if were in the area!

Ria and her husband were lovely hosts, Made me feel welcome and comfortable. The husband even offered to take me to a wedding venue as taxis are hard to come by. Was very appreciated. Breakfast was lovely and so was the room. Bed was comfortable would highly recommend.

Stayed one night re visit for a 50th birthday bash! Room clean and functional, with a comfy bed. The room was a little on the small side (but then your reviewer is 6'4"). Good en suite facilities. Our hosts could not have made us more welcome, and the breakfast the following morning was just right. Will definitely return, thanks folks. Recommended.

Stayed at this quaint b&b for one night at the weekend. We were welcomed by the owner shown to our room that was clean and comfortable. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the en suite was fine as well. Breakfast the next morning was served up in the dining room and was fresh and tasty, we would definitely stay again if we were in the area .

What an enjoyable stay I had at this B&B. Such a warm and friendly greeting from their host, Ria. Nothing was too much trouble. My room was really comfortable and well looked after. My breakfast was cooked to perfection and exactly what I ordered. A really welcoming experience from beginning to end and great value. Will definitely stay again when I am back in the area. Thank you, Peter Symphorien (aka The Soul Man)

When we arrived at the B&B we were greeted by a very lovely owner who was very friendly. She showed us to our room which was very nice and clean and we had our own bathroom which again was very clean. We were asked when and what we would like for breakfast which was all included for the £70 per night price which was a pleasant surprise. All in all we were very pleased and we had a very good night's sleep when we returned from a family birthday party. Absolutely fantastic value for money.

Quite overwhelmed with such a fabulous review. Thank you. Cannot understand when an advertisement says Bed and Breakfast, you have to pay extra for breakfast - NOT at our B & B. If you book direct we are £65.00 not £70.00 Looking forward to seeing you both again for the next family reunion - special times Kindest regards Ria

We were a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. A very warm welcome from Ria made us feel at home straight away which was really nice especially after a long journey that we had had. The bedrooms and bathroom/shower were spotless. We had everything that we needed in our rooms, from the provisions to make our own tea/coffee to toiletries and nice fresh towels, Ria went the extra miles to make sure our stay would be a comfortable one (which it definitely was)! The delicious cooked breakfast along with fresh juice, fruits and also hot drinks were spot on and just the right size for all of us and it was all included in the price! A spacious space on the driveway to park our car was extremely convenient to us especially with our big car. The free wifi was also a great bonus! We really felt at home at Burnt Mill Cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very pleased to have discovered about Burnt Mill Cottage. What a hidden gem!! The fury hosts were absolutely adorable!

We stayed in the double ensuite room for 2 nights whilst visiting relations nearby. We received a very warm welcome from Ria who is an excellent host (pre arrival communication was great too). Our room was comfortable and cosy and had everything we needed. The cottage is in a very quiet area, no noise whatsoever apart from the occasional cooing of a wood pigeon. Very reasonable rates - especially given the quality and quantity of the home cooked breakfast. We will definitely book again when we are next in the area, especially if we get another chance to pet the lovely, well-behaved dogs!
