Wow - what can I say! We had our wedding here in August and it exceeded our expectations. The location is a dream, Marco just trusts you to have the whole villa to yourself for a whole week and towards the end we didn’t want to give it back! The rooms were stunning and so traditional Italian, the pool was an absolute delight especially in those hot temperatures and the staff are truly amazing. I couldn’t thank Marco and Cristina enough for their hard work and the love that really goes into planning the weddings week on week! They were both available 24/7 for anything we needed and made sure our wedding day and everything in between was perfection. I couldn’t have pictured a more beautiful place to get married! Our family and friends still talk about the food from the wedding week and say they’ll never eat a tiramisu like that again! This place will truly be in our hearts forever and we can’t wait to go back and will make sure we take Marco and Cristina out for dinner when we do. We felt like we had known them for years! If you want a real Italian feel this is your place. Thanks so much once again. Love Chelsey and Daniel xxxx

Myself, my partner and all of our family & friends had the MOST incredible week at Villa Baroncino - we were all talking about it for weeks after. Marco, Cristina and the rest of the team go above and beyond to ensure your whole trip and especially your wedding day goes perfectly and every little detail is thought of - they co-ordinate & sort every single aspect, you have absolutely nothing to worry or stress about. The villa itself is beautiful and the location is totally stunning! Thank you all again for the most amazing week of our lives, a trip we will never forget!!!!

Can not recommend Marco and his team enough (we booked through romanticitalianweddings.com). Every part of our special day felt like a dream come true and we were SO well taken care of. Cristina, Marco and everyone from hair and makeup stylists to photographers are beyond kind and extremely talented. The food was amazing, the views were so breathtaking they didn't seem real and the wine was delicious, as well as the complimentary gifts from Marco! Booking the wedding from abroad was a risk but it completely paid off. Marco's assistant Alexandra was also incredibly helpful in the planning process and made it seamless and stress free for us. Villa Baroncino is an extremely beautiful, special and peaceful venue and we also LOVED Cortona. What a special day they created for us. We will never forget! Thank you to all for helping us make our dreams come true and making us feel like family.

An incredible venue for you wedding ceremony. Marco and his team will exceed your expectations and take the stress out of planning your wedding. The grounds and buildings are beautiful. As stunning as the photos are- they don’t do the reality justice.

Dear Marco, Cristina & Alexandra. As I said many times on our wedding week, you made our wedding dreams come true and we wish we could do it all over again! Choosing Villa Baroncino for our wedding was the easiest and best decision we have ever made! From start to finish, the planning was stress-free and relaxing and the wedding day was something that can only be described as perfect! Below is our honest experience: On first enquiring at Villa Baroncino, we booked in a videocall with Marco, the owner. He instantly put us at ease, answered all of our questions and his passion for weddings shone through right away. He (along with Cristina) is the shining star of the venue. He really cares about your wedding and puts his everything into ensuring your wedding day and week long stay at the venue is faultless. We came away feeling as if he is a lifelong friend. Included in the wedding package was a 3-night visit to the venue out of season. As soon as we arrived, we were both overwhelmed with the beauty and scale of the venue. The photos online are beautiful but I can really say they do not do the venue justice at all. They have truly thought of everything; each room is decorated with antique furniture, the villas are large enough to comfortably stay for a week in, the gardens were pristine and grounds were large enough for guests to comfortably relax in, after all it is a holiday for them too! Whilst visiting, we met with Alexandra to go through the wedding planning software, enjoyed a full tour of the venue with Cristina and we met with Renata, our caterer. She welcomed us into her home and we enjoyed a trial of the wedding menu. She had even made a small version of the wedding cake for us to try! Fast forward a few months, the online planning software was opened. The online wedding planning software contains 8 steps where you plan each element of your wedding. The venue has 3 amazing packages (we chose the middle package, Charming) and we planned our wedding with a few easy clicks. Again, any questions I had during the planning was promptly answered and I can honestly say nothing was too much trouble for them! The venue has a fantastic list of local suppliers, who they work with every week. We felt confident selecting their recommended suppliers and received quick communications from them all on the finer details. Fast forward again to checking in with 41 of our guests to our wedding week at Villa Baroncino. Cristina welcomed our guests as if they were long lost best friends, nothing was too much trouble for her and every time she spotted us during the week she came over and gave us a big hug. She really took care of our guests and helped with every request. We all loved her! She also dressed the venue décor-wise on the wedding day and I had full trust in her making it look beautiful. They have an office full of décor, which I could have selected items from myself, but instead I let Cristina choose and she did a fantastic job! Our wedding week was full of food & entertainment thanks to the Charming package with a wedding in the middle! Cristina hosted a really fun wine tasting evening for 21 of us on the Monday night, we had a pizza and prosecco welcome party, using the prosecco made from the grapes grown on site, we had a hog roast evening, a BBQ (cooked by Renata) & karaoke evening and 2 cooking classes. Something that kept coming up from all of our guests was how authentically Italian everything was; all suppliers were local and this really meant a lot to us. Onto the wedding day! I honestly don’t think I have the words to explain how perfect it was. The previous day, Marco had hosted a rehearsal in the garden for our bridal party, this really helped people to relax on the wedding day as they knew where they needed to be. There was a team of gardeners in the day before and the morning of the wedding, the gardens were so beautiful and it really shows how much they care on making your wedding day look and feel perfect. Having said that, the gardener was in every day and the place looks fantastic 24/7! Marco & Cristina put so much work into making the wedding day run smoothly; they sent though an itinerary of the day with timings to the minute, yet our day felt so relaxed and natural. Florist – we chose Cristina Faluomi as our florist. Her flowers are beautiful, she is so talented! I sent very little direction to Cristina, just a few photos for inspiration and she really made my vision come to life! Music – we chose the Tuscan Gents for the ceremony & aperitifs. They were great and covered a large variety of songs. We also chose Davide as our DJ, he was fantastic and kept the dancefloor filled all night. He also ensured microphones were on and ready for speeches and played our dinner playlist during food. The evening music was also allowed to go on until 1:30am which was a big bonus with our guests who love to dance. Food – we chose Renata as our caterer. We chose to have a traditional Italian wedding meal which included 6 courses. We kept this as a surprise from our guests and they often tell us that the food was the best wedding food they have ever had and we agree! The presentation was lovely and the ingredients were fresh! Hair & make-up – we chose Monia for the bridal party’s hair and make-up. I had a trial the day before the wedding and requested a few changes on the wedding morning. Monia really took the time to understand my requests and I felt beautiful on the wedding day, as did the rest of my bridal party. Photographer – we chose Domenico from Photographer & Partners. We chose to have full day coverage. Our photos came back so quickly and we are SO happy with them. Domenico really knew the venue and captured beautiful images. Videographer – we chose Massimiliano Galardi. We loved working with Massimiliano and he helped us to feel very relaxed in front of the camera. Wine – The Charming package includes a very generous wine offer with enough wine to cover events during the week and the wedding day itself. Guests drank freely all week and we still had plenty left over which we are going to have shipped home. The prosecco was a big hit! Gelato cart – The Charming package includes a gelato cart after the ceremony, we kept this a secret from our guests and it was very popular! We chose 5 flavours and they were all so yummy! Ape Prosecco van – The Charming package includes an ape prosecco van after the ceremony. This was a lovely Italian touch to toast with after being M & Mrs, along with our guests. We also chose to serve Aperol spritz from this van and they went down very well! Vespa – The Charming package includes a classic Italian Vespa for photo opportunities. We have some of our professional wedding photos on this and also guests used it to pose with for their own photos. Photobooth – This was so much fun!! It is hired for use during the meal, which on paper seems a bit strange. But honestly it was so much fun! Guests were up and down from their tables having photos. It also has a fun ‘boomerang’ type feature so guests were having so much fun moving and dancing whilst photos were being taken. All photos are uploaded to an online gallery. You can probably tell, we are still on cloud 9 from our week at Villa Baroncino and we cannot thank Marco, Cristina, Alexandra & the rest of the team enough. We now need to try and persuade our friends to get married there so we can experience it all again! Love James & Becky Dimelow - 12th October 2022

Hi Marco, Cristina, Alexandra, Andrea and all at Romantic Italian Weddings, We hope you are all well! Apologies it has taken so long to write this review; we wanted to make sure we could sit down together and try to do justice to the service we received and the fantastic experience you created for us during our beautiful wedding week. Here goes... Planning our wedding with RIW We were almost sure we wanted to book Villa Baroncino for our wedding from the website, however when we visited the villa in September 2019 we were completely blown away by the gardens and the setting; it was even better than the photographs! Cristina kindly showed us around and expertly answered our many questions. We met Marco for lunch and further discussions at Restaurant Ciao Ciao, which is a short drive from the villa and perfectly situated on the Lake shore. We immediately knew we would be in safe hands and we booked Villa Baroncino the same day. At this time, we were blissfully unaware we were signing up to planning a destination wedding during a global pandemic. However, the communication from RIW was efficient and consistent throughout the whole planning process. Alexandra was positive, helpful and professional in her responses which helped to manage our uncertainties and anxieties in a constantly changing situation. Marco has created an ingenious 8 Steps system for wedding planning that proved invaluable to us; everything you could want is detailed on the website (even down to each possible napkin colour, chair type, menu option) along with individual pricing options, and each step can be completed in a logical order to make your wedding dreams a reality. We chose a customised wedding package and the 8 Steps system allowed us to feel we had complete control over our wedding, despite being 1000s of miles away and unable to speak Italian. All queries were answered within the relevant 8 Steps section of the website which kept everything organised and in one place. Villa Baroncino It felt so surreal when we finally arrived at Villa Baroncino after almost 2 years of planning (and much of that time spent in UK lockdowns where we were worried our wedding might not go ahead at all!) It was so special to be in the most beautiful, romantic setting reunited with our friends and loved ones, and we were so grateful to our guests and the staff at RIW for sticking with us. Each of our guests were in awe of the villa and grounds, to quote one of them: "The grounds were breath-taking. Coming up the driveway we were all taken aback by how stunning the place was. The villa itself was so secluded and it allowed everyone to exist in a wonderful wedding bubble all week, and forget about the rest of the world. You can see how much love goes into the venue; every tiny detail was accounted for. I woke up every morning and stared out my window onto the beautiful view and couldn't believe my luck..." The Wine Package We enjoyed use of the whole villa for a week; we cooked together in the communal kitchen and BBQ area, sunbathed and enjoyed the local wine included in the wedding wine package. Some of our meals were catered by Renata which was convenient and well received and guests ordered takeaway or visited Ciao Ciao, where our best man claimed to have enjoyed "the best Bolognese I have ever had". The wine package worked perfectly for us as it meant we could supply our guests with wine throughout the week as well as on our wedding day. We didn't need to worry about supply, even though we were catering for a large group. Of the included bottles, we had 18 bottles of red wine left by the end of the week (we are all quite big drinkers) which we shipped home to enjoy. Many of our guests commented on the delicious taste and quality of the wines, and there were surprisingly few hangovers despite enjoying copious amounts! The RIW Team Communication from Cristina and Marco was regular and efficient throughout our wedding week. They responded to our every need immediately and nothing was too much trouble! Cristina and I spent some lovely moments together in her office deciding on decorations and working together to create personal touches, such as displays of family photographs, for our special day. I had shipped some decorations and games in advance, but Cristina has lots that can be used. Andrea deserves a special mention as he was always on hand to help with anything we needed; all of our guests talked about his positive attitude and great big smile, even once we got back to the UK! Marco's organisation during the wedding rehearsal was excellent and showed the expert and precise way RIW approach their weddings. He also did an excellent job of translating and explaining the process during the legal ceremony at Cortona Town Hall. By the wedding day, we felt as though the RIW team were our friends and we trusted them implicitly. As another of our guests put it, "all of the staff were unbelievably friendly and by the end of the week felt a very welcome part of the party. They were always so smiley and attentive, they seemed genuinely happy for all of us". We believe the whole team love what they do, and this is one of the things that makes RIW so special; we would recommend them to anyone. Our Wedding Day Our wedding day ran seamlessly, despite a change of plans in the morning due to a storm forecast in the evening. There was no panic from the RIW staff, they knew exactly what to do and how to adapt plans to suit the weather. There was a lovely atmosphere on the wedding morning, with staff buzzing around getting everything ready. We chose to bring our own photographer from the UK and he worked with Massimiliano Galardi (videographer) capturing the groom, groomsmen and guests jumping into the pool and having fun, while the bride, bridesmaids and flower girls got ready in the wedding suite. We chose a 3pm ceremony as it was the height of summer, so there was plenty of time for Renata's breakfast buffet, for everyone to get ready and for guests to enjoy a drinks reception by the pool before the garden ceremony. I walked down the long, beautiful aisle with my dad, accompanied by music played by the amazing Tuscan Gents. We were able to personalise the ceremony to include our own vows and readings, and Marco chose some beautiful words as the officiant of the wedding. We enjoyed aperitifs in the barn and photographs in the garden, before escaping to Lake Trasimeno for a speed boat cruise with our photographer and videographer. It was a perfect way to have some time together as a newlywed couple, and provided us with amazing photographs and video footage we will treasure forever. After returning to the villa for the speeches, we enjoyed Renata's San Lorenzo menu, which was plenty of food for everyone and she adapted the menu expertly for any dietary requirements. Our evening started with our first dance, the throwing of the bouquet, and cutting of the cake (the latter was very special and took all of our guests by surprise!) followed by dancing and drinking late into the night. Although our wedding day was planned in lots of detail and we felt fully in control, there was opportunity for several little surprises provided by Marco and the RIW team which made our day extra special; another reason we think RIW is particularly outstanding! We organised a Pizza and Prosecco Pool party for the day after our wedding, which was a perfect way to continue the celebrations in the sunshine with our guests. We even had a game of rounders in the gardens, providing endless entertainment. Thank you! Overall, we can't speak highly enough of RIW and our wedding experience. We have memories to last us a lifetime and everything was perfect; the venue, the staff, the organisation and each of the little details. We would recommend RIW to anyone and just wish we could come and do it all over again. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for creating a wedding that surpassed all of our expectations. We hope to come back and visit Lake Trasimeno again soon. Wishing you all well, Hayley & Joseph Tyson-Adams 31.08.2021

Italy, and in particular Villa Baroncino was the perfect place to get married, and exceeded our expectations. It is set in the peaceful rolling hills of Umbria, with stunning views for miles around. The buildings and grounds of baroncino are very well kept, giving a luxury feel that you’d expect for a wedding. The villa comfortably hosted our 40+ guests during the week (and 70 for the wedding day), with many large areas to socialise and relax. The whole experience of the week in Italy was very special, giving us memories that we will cherish forever. We were both quite anxious going into the week, due to the distance barrier and only visiting and meeting people in person once before the wedding week. However we didn’t need to be nervous, every detail of the week and wedding day went very smooth, starting with a meeting with Marco and Cristina which set out what was happening throughout the week, and sorting out final details. Cristina was also on hand throughout the week at the villa and she was so helpful and friendly, both to us and all of our guests! We enjoyed a karaoke/hog roast night, wine tasting and a pizza party, which kept us and our guests entertained throughout the week. We also had a wedding rehearsal, which allowed us to enjoy the town of Cortona, and understand all of the logistics of the wedding day. Marco was amazing at this, very informative and put our minds at rest. On the wedding day itself, we chose to have the ceremony in Cortona town hall, and the reception at villa baroncino. We felt that this gave the right balance across the day with a change of scenery. Cortona is a beautiful, historic town in Tuscany at the top of a big hill, with impressive views for miles. The town hall was also a lovely venue for the ceremony and we definitely recommend it to people. En route back to the villa, Marco drove us to some lovely spots to have photos taken: a park, and a colourful farm field. It’s given us fantastic photos and videos, taken by Domenico and Massimiliano. On the return to the villa, we had the most amazing canapés and drinks around the pool, as well as an ice cream cart and Prosecco bar, and had some photos taken while guests socialised. The food for the meal was also of high quality, and was supplied (along with the canapés) by Reneta. Every detail of the day was spot on, with many of our guests saying it’s the best wedding they’ve been to! 3. The wine offer comfortably provided enough wine throughout the week, including with the wedding meal for all of our 69 guests. Luckily one of our guests drove to Italy, so they were able to bring back the leftover bottles with them! We also had 60 bottles shipped after we booked the wedding, which allowed us to enjoy the wine on the lead up to the wedding.

From the second that we stumbled across Romantic Italian Weddings and Villa Baroncino on a Google search we knew that it would be the perfect place for our wedding. We had looked at loads of other venues in Italy for our wedding but none compared to what Marco and his team had to offer. At first we thought that this was too good to be true but after speaking with Marco and Alexandra on an information webinar and a visit to the villa in October 2019 we were definitely sold!  Our first visit to the villa was so informative and Cristina greeted us like family straight away - we just fell in love with Villa Baroncino and the whole surrounding area so booked the luxury package for our date in April 2021 straight away. Unfortunately, before we could get into planning, the pandemic hit and we were so worried that our dream wedding was not going to happen - especially because all of our family was travelling from all over the world. Marco and Alexandra were incredibly understanding and helpful however and put our minds at ease by helping us to move our date to April 2022 in order to ensure our whole family could make it to the wedding after restrictions eased. We can't thank them enough for going above and beyond during such an uncertain time. After all of the worry, the time finally came around for us to start planning our wedding on the "8 steps" website. It was so easy to use and we couldn't quite believe how easy and stress-free the whole process was! They have thought of absolutely everything which took all of the guessing and uncertainty out of the process and we had a great time sitting down and moving through the steps watching our wedding plans unfold. The 8 steps made trying to plan a wedding abroad so simple as any questions we had were answered with a quick message on the website and we didn't have to worry about trying to keep track of multiple vendors as it was all taken care of in the one place.  When it came time to finally arrive at the villa we were met by Marco and Cristina and again it felt like we were visiting family! They were so welcoming and had everything organised perfectly. The villa was as stunning as we remembered from our visits and our guests were completely overwhelmed with how beautiful it all was. Words cannot express how brilliant our wedding week was. Our guests had a great time exploring the local area, we had some delicious food delivered from Ciao Ciao, a great night out with dinner and dancing at Ciao Ciao's disco, wine tasting with Cristina, karaoke at the villa and so much more. For guests who did not hire a car Marco also made it extremely easy to book taxis with a local company who were also very helpful and friendly. The "Wine Wedding Italy" offer also added to the whole experience - our guests were shocked by the amount of wine included and we are still enjoying all of the bottles we bought home with us! On the day of our wedding, we woke up to perfect weather. The day just ran so smoothly and all of the team involved were just brilliant. Monia and her team did the most beautiful hair and makeup and Cristina our florist somehow read my mind to create exactly what I had imagined for my bouquets and decorations. Our photographer and videographers - Domenico and Massimiliano were also fantastic and managed to capture every moment and we had the best food from Claudio and the team at La Collina whilst being entertained by the amazing musicians - Tuscan Gents, party DJ, Musicians Hubay and our beautiful opera singer. Again, Marco and Cristina were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make the ceremony and reception extremely special. Our guests are still talking about how much they loved the day and it was everything we imagined and more.  Villa Baroncino is an extremely special place that we will always hold close to our hearts and we will recommend Marco and the team at RIW to anyone who will listen! They are definitely wedding planning masters and clearly adore what they do. We will be forever grateful to them for giving us the wedding of our dreams and we can't wait to come back for a visit soon.

My wife found this villa doing a google search for large groups and it couldn't have been a more perfect place. Still doesn't seem real. Marco, Christina, Andrea and everyone from RIW were amazing to us and introduced us to their many friends who helped us during our week. We arrived on a Saturday in late October having no idea what to expect. We had done everything online and with Marco's 8 step wedding planning. To be honest, it was a bit confusing doing it online and filling out all that needed to be filled out, but once we got there and throughout the week, it all made perfect sense. There was not a single detail that wasn't covered in the 8 step planning and the whole week went off like we had been planning this 24/7 for over a year. We arrived via motorcoach from Rome airport on Saturday and were not even sure our 55 passenger motor coach was going to be able to make it through town, let alone up the long driveway to the villa. We were right away greeted by Christina and Andrea who helped our older guests with their bags. Once we got the 47 guests situated in their rooms, Christina was right there to help with any issues that people had, which weren't many. But as a lot of our guests haven't been out of the US ever or not in a while, there were some getting used to Italian culture and living. Once everyone got their wifi straightened out, life was good again. We planned a pig roast on the first night with our 47 villa guests and our 16 hotel guests. Antonella and her husband (Bufalo tour I think) live right down the street from the villa and were just a WhatsApp text away from picking our guests up at the hotel and bringing them to the villa. They were amazing to us all week and highly recommended. Any day trip or ride we needed, they were there within minutes. They also organized our motorcoach transportation to and from Rome Airport to villa (2 hour ride). The next night was Halloween so we had a BBQ party THEN Karaoke night at the villa with crazy costumes. We were blown away that all 62 guests had room in their bags to pack a costume. That was an amazing night. After night 1 i think we had to order more beer and wine and some liquor, which was again, just a WhatsApp text to Christina away from being delivered. Anything we needed, pretty much at any time of the day or night was just a text away. The Karaoke night wasn't enough for some of us SO we had Antonella and her husband take us over to the night club Ciao Ciao, which was amazing! Some of us were still in costume. Of course, we were greeted by Marco there who took great care of us (12 of us total) and made sure we all got home safely back to the villa. Monday was recovery day, relaxation day and then pasta party at night. Some of us were a little foggy from the late Ciao Ciao night but we pushed through and had a relaxing day at the villa. My wife had her hair dresser come and mess around with some hair options, we had our rehearsal at the villa and we just relaxed. Tuesday was WEDDING DAY and it was the most amazing incredible choreographed event we have every been to. I can't say enough about the work that Marco, Christina, Andrea and everyone puts into this. This is where the 8 step wedding planner all comes together. It was insane and our guests were all blown away with how pefect everything was. I can't even begin to put it in words how incredible this day was. A true fairytale. We celebrated like royalty and it went late into the night!!! The food, the set up, the string quartet, the perfect weather, the music, everything exactly what we asked for. And most of all, my brother Chad for performing the ceremony and making it the most memorable wedding i have ever seen and could every imagine! amazing!!! Seemed like we had been there for a month already but we still had plenty of time left! We had tours to Cortona thanks to Antonella and her husband, Mattea, another tour guided took us to Florence one of the days. We did wine tours, medieval town tours, and more. There is never nothing to do!!! We can't thank Marco, Christina, Andrea and everyone at RIW enough for making us look so good and look so organized! Bringing 62 people over to Italy for a wedding is not easy and they made us look like geniuses! We can't recommend Villa Baroncino enough and we can't wait to go back. If you're looking for a touristy area with McDonald's and pizza and gelato shops with plenty of shopping, this might not be the area for you. But it is relaxing, amazing, breathtaking AND you are close to all that stuff via Antonella & her husband OR Matteo. People are more than happy to help organize excursions for you and take you anywhere you want to go. We were less than an hour from so many amazing places to see and we saw ALL OF THEM!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Also, when you leave order plenty of wine and olive oil from the villa!!!! It is sooooooo good. Where to start... We first met Marco and Cristina in November 2019 when we viewed Villa Baroncino and knew instantly we were making the right choice in booking our wedding with them . If you are considering RIW and Marco then we have no hesitation in saying you will not regret it! Despite numerous reschedulings due to Covid, Marco and his team have been outstanding. From the minute we arrived at the start of our wedding week we were given all their time and attention. Marco is superb at his job and his attention to detail is impeccable . Any worries we had before we went over instantly left us when we arrived. The wedding day itself was flawless and we would not change a thing. Marco and Cristina are there every step of the way making sure everything goes to plan. Each vendor we chose was excellent and we had Renata for food and her food is incredible and we were all absolutely stuffed! Our photographs are beautiful, as is our video and we had great fun taking the pictures after the wedding. The DJ played all our favourite tunes and we danced until we dropped! Every single one of our guests have not stopped talking about the wedding and the atmosphere in Villa Baroncino and we were so happy we chose RIW to plan our wedding. Our only regret is we can't do it all again! Thank you again Marco, Cristina and all who made our special day so special!
