This is an excellent hotel for a few days or as a stopover on a long journey. More character than the standard chains alongside the motorway.
The breakfast is freshly cooked and there is a really good pub and carvery less than five minutes walk...More
Great room with very comfy beds all very clean
Like Alsager as good stopover not far off M6 with great places to eat
Breakfast lovely for meat eaters felt more effort for vegetarians would have made it 5 stars for us
but would recommend it
Needed somewhere to stay to attend a nearby party - easy to find, good welcome, comfy room (choice of soft or harder pillow suited me) nice refurb bathroom plenty of hot water and towels. Hairdryer, tea and coffee, and TV all working - (not everyone's...More
Very happy, reasonable room with nice hot shower and mega breakfast, with plenty of choice. Nice views. Easy to find. Just a stop over trip to visit relative in hospital, but no qualms about staying again.
A warm welcome on arrival. The room was very clean and tidy.
The room was spacious with a large en-suite bathroom and a view across the fields.
Breakfast was excellent, nothing seemed like too much trouble if you wanted to deviate from the menu.

The room were we stayed was spacious enough and the room were our friends stayed was even bigger. No complaints there, but we travelled with no children.

We had a room at the back which was quiet and comfortable. It was of average size but plenty big enough for our labrador as well. We had an enjoyable meal at the Old Mill Inn - turn left from Holly Trees and you will then see a sign for the Old Mill on your right. The approach to the pub is right by the sign - it looks as if you are driving into a farm entrance but the Old Mill Inn is down there as well!

"The front rooms look onto the main road. Soundproofing is good but if hot weather forces an open window there..."
