In many of my trips to Peru I had different experiences with hotels, I slept in hotels of all kinds, sometimes because there was no alternative, but to find such a picturesque place in the middle of a mountain, also full of beautiful stained glass, orchids and nature at every point of the place, finding this was something I did not...

A great place since we arrive there. We stayed in a matrimonial room with views to a beautiful garden full of orchids, a chimney , a beautiful stained glass window that made it so charm and cozy, the bathroom was so clean (it was so important to us specially this) The hotel staff where so kind and helpful people ....

Ok place. The bed was small and dirt fell from the ceiling on bed with some unwelcome critters. Food good and people nice, but certainly this place has seen better days. The elder couple seemed to do as best they could. The ride to the falls was great and hike as well. The guide was good. One of us repelled...

I stayed here a few night to go birding in the cloud forest nearby. The owner is very kind and accommodating. I had the room with fireplace but I didn't make him work at chopping wood for me. Meals were just fine. Slightly overpriced but I didn't mind as the village is very quaint and interesting. Great for birding. Bed...

We arrived late at Pedro Ruiz and found that this highly rated posada was nearby; thus, we decided to drive about 10km up the mountains. We were asked 180 soles for a room with two beds, one queen and one twin. We found the price to be high compared to other places in Peru. But, it was late, so we...

A 15 minute motor taxi ride above Pedro Ruiz will get you to the only accommodation in Cuispes. The family run this posada like clockwork.....the food is delicious, the rooms are excellent and the service and info are top ten. They will organise your trek to Yumbilla or to the NP. We were lucky to get a room here [there...

Very laid back hostel and town if you like to be the only tourist around. Friendly owner and extremely cheap for what you get, the rooms as well as the tour you can do to one of world's highest waterfalls.

Having visited this area twice before I was keen to stay in Cuispes and trek to the waterfalls. Currently La Posada de Cuispes is the best place to stay in the town and can organise a good guide for the trek (highly recommended, both the trek and guide). The accommodation is very good for the price and is friendly. The...
