The vacation at Podere la Pergola was one of my best holidays in my life so far. Just from the beginning with the super friendly welcome over a stunning and beautiful view which take your breath away and the flats with lovely details to a book full of exquisite recommendations for activities, marktes, restaurants and more. Podere la Pergola leaves nothing to be desired. We will definitly come again! Many thanks to Caroline, Daniele, Julie and family for this amazing stay. P.S. Try the wine - you would otherwise miss a very delicious taste experience ;)

We had a marvelous stay at this very lovely place. The appartement was clean and well taken care of. Both Caroline and Danielle are such interested and nice and welcoming people. The surrounding of the area is overwhelming and calming and there are beautiful flowers and fruittrees on the property. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!! Extra: Caroline has made a detailed list of places to see and restaurants etc that comes in handy when you look for information. We would love to visit this place again❣️ Jaden Jordan Jelle Natasha

Like last year we spent 2 weeks with our 9 year old daughter at Podere la Pergola. The 1st week in one of the rooms (daughter & dad) and the 2nd week in the large apartment. The room (b&b) is nice for 2 people, the b'fast delicious & the WiFi has markedly improved compared to last year. For the 2nd week the 3 of us stayed in the large apartment which can host up to 6 - we had initially planned to stay with relatives from Florida there, but because of the aftermath of the recent hurricane they had to cancel at short notice. Hence we ended up as 3 in the large apartment... Podere la Pergola is perfectly located in northern Tuscany, barely 30 min drive from Pisa airport. With a car numerous destinations like Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Volterra and even Siena are easily to reach. The hamlet of San Gervasio, where Podere la Pergola is situated, is a beautiful small place which invites for nice walks through the vineyards. Caroline & Daniele are exceptionally nice hosts, very welcoming and very knowledgeable. All time highlight are the Tuscany dinners that Daniele (a renown chef) prepares every 2 weeks for the guests (don't miss it). All in all a wonderful base for visiting Tuscany and to relax in pure serenity.

It´s been the second time that we spent a week at Caroline´s place. The place is beautiful spot for everyone: for those seeking relation and recreation, for those who want to exlpore nearby cities, such as Lucca, Pisa, Sienna, Volterra, etc. The breakfast is excellent and varied, the wine offered is of the same quality. Because of the friendliness of the owners we immediately felt welcome. There are really rare places I would recommend, but this is definitely a place to stay in.

A great place to spend your holiday in Tuscany. Very kind owners! Our four-persons-family stayed in the very pleasant, tidy and well equipped appartment "Belvedere" (nomen est omen). Though a bit remote and therefore quiet place (agriturismo!) "Podere la pergola" is a quite good basis for lots of trips all around Tuscany (Pisa, Florence, la mare, St. Gimignano, Populonia...). An Highlight: Awesome pool! And don´t miss Danieles delicious dinner and Carolines very helpful advices (in advance) für planning your stay.

If you are out for a relaxing place to stay in Tuscany and a good starting place to explore the surrounding, this is it. Nice old building, beautifully restored, great garden and pool. The small village has two restaurants, and loads of great places to see. Pisa is not far, Train ride to Florence is approx. 45 minutes and there are a lot of secret places to see (the host have a recommendation list).

We spent just a couple of days there but with the good recommendations from Caroline Wasserfuhr what to visit nearby we got a pretty good picture from the region around San Gervasio. It was the first time being there in this region of Italy and we really did enjoy the nice people, the individual landscape as well as the good food there. We allways felt comfortable at the Podere la Pergola because Caroline, her daughter Juli and Daniele took always care of us. The Podere la Pergola is located between Vineyards in a nice hilly landscape and a lot of interesting places around can be reached in less than one hour. We never did regret choosing this nice location and hope to find a possibility to return soon to San Gervasio. Anita & Peter

Wonderful spot to spend some really relaxing days or to realise the short distances to Florence, Pisa, Siena, Mediteranean Sea and and and...... The existance of three B&B rooms next to two appartements gives a familiar atmosphere. Due to the intimate knowledge of the region, the informations of Carolina are more than helpful. And please - don't miss the the evening with Daniele's dinner - absolutely fantastic !!
