I have just come back from a trip to the Northern Areas and stayed in Serena Shirgar Fort for four nights. From start to finish our stay was fantastic. We were two families with three children and the staff bent over backwards to accommodate us. The service was brilliant, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was lovely and...

I always say that I'll write a review and actually never do. This time I am because Shigar Fort and the surrounding areas are simply outstanding. Fantastic location before continuing to K2, beautiful gardens, rooms are a bit humid but hey, its in the mountain. The village is not that great but the river flows on the sides of the roads gave a feeling of lord of the ring.

A lovely place to stay for a couple of nights in a lovely setting by a river with mountains in the distance and a village worth walking through to see Shia wooden mosques dating back centuries. The rooms in the main building of the fort are small but atmospheric and with their own charm but there are larger rooms apparently...

We didn't stay at Serena but visited the fort and it was brilliant. Serena has maintained it very nicely. There's a beautiful garden and a river flowing next to it.The food was delicious. Service was pretty good as well. I would love to stay in their old styled room next time.

Everything in this hotel was fabulous. Nothing to complain. Front office staff, room service, other amenities, room facility, water pressure in washroom, Heating, etc were excellent. Dinning besides water and under trees was also panoramic and pleasant.

The room was very small and poorly ventilated. Uncomfortably warm with only a fan, no a/c made for difficult sleeping. Small but modern bathroom. Very attractive grounds, made for enjoyable outdoor eating. Was there during Ramadan. Had some difficulty in getting laundry returned but in the end it worked out.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. The Fort building is 450 years old and at that time the rooms were built to retain heat as the entire area was covered in glaciers and snow.
