We spent New Years Eve at The Inn and stayed the night. Our meal in the evening and breakfast the following morning was very good and the rooms where we stayed are very good value with lovely touches very well thought out and very homely. Thank you for a great night all your staff are amazing very attentive good old fashion first class service.

We really enjoyed our one night stay The room (Madrid) was very comfortable and overlooked the pretty courtyard. It was very quiet, clean and warm..We ate in the pub in the evening and my husband really enjoyed the pheasant meal . Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and really good. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again if in area.

Went here for the first time last night with my partner. We had a meal from the main evening menu. Got to say it was absolutely superb, I can especially recommend the crispy duck salad starter. Value for money was really good, the food was tasty, well presented and decently portioned. Service was attentive and friendly, without being intrusive. Overall, very impressed with the place. We live reasonably locally, and we will definitely eat here again.

I came for a late afternoon Sunday dinner with my partner on 01/10/23. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table by Sophia (I think). I was extremely impressed with all members of staff. Polite, helpful, attentive without being overbearing. The food itself was nothing short of amazing. I had the roast beef and my partner had the vegetarian roast. Both were spot on!! Nice crisp roast potatoes, and parsnips, lovely and plentiful selection of vegetables - 8 different vegetables including the potatoes and parsnips!!!. I thought the staff were so well briefed/trained, whichever way you want to say it. It's those little things that we take for granted, like a hand behind their back as they approach the table, etc. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them and they walked around with a smile, like they actually wanted to be there and please their customers, and not just 'going through the motions' The background music was very welcome and the general ambience of the place was first class. After our meal, we moved out to the lovely, cosy back garden to enjoy drinks. i noticed staff out there, scanning the garden and making sure nobody was wanting for anything. It really was the most enjoyable Sunday afternoon, and we will without doubt be returning. The staff are an absolute credit, and the chef/kitchen staff provided a top class meal. It was more like being in a 4/5 star restaurant than a pub, with the treatment we received. A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL

Booked an XL Double Room for overnight stay last weekend. Couldn't have been happier with the room. The rooms are located in a separate annexe behind a beautiful pub. Extremely quiet and beautifully furnished. The room had everything we needed, including a fan which was helpful in the extreme heat. Had an evening meal, which was also extremely good and the breakfast was exceptional. A final note, all the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

First meal out since lockdown. The staff was so welcoming, very conscious of being COVID secure and we felt very safe and relaxed. It was a lovely evening and the food was excellent and the fact the staff was so welcoming really made it.

Not so dog friendly! I wouldn't recommend staying here if you have dogs, there are only two rooms that are dog friendly non of which are twin. The rooms are boiling, despite a fan being provided. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant which is the main cut through to the bar to order as there is no table service to the garden. You have to walk round through the car park to enter from the front entrance. There are no table numbers on the pods outside, making ordering on the app difficult. If you are not a 'tech' person with phones you would struggle to have anything to eat or drink without making multiple trips through the car park to the bar, which is inconvenient. There is no bin at all for dog waste, when asked where to put the waste we were told to walk to the nearest park to dispose of it! We paid £30 for two non-malting small dogs as an expensive surcharge, to say the least. The food was hot but nothing special for £25 for steak and £16.95 for burger and chips there was no extra mile or garnish. During breakfast, we listened to staff gossip in the bar, and our order had to be taken twice because the waitress didn't listen or write it down. All in all, for £175 I have stayed in much nicer places, which provide a more dog-friendly experience so I wouldn't return. I found it expensive and underwhelming.

Had a delicious breakfast at The Inn West End yesterday. The food was freshly cooked. My friend had the full English which looked amazing and I had smashed avocado, poached eggs on sour dough bread with bacon which really hit the spot! Will go there again, hopefully soon!

Been for breakfast before and it was 5 star so booked it for my Wife’s Birthday

Not so this time

I took this picture when food arrived all looked good.
After first bite of black pudding I found it was all stone cold. My wife’s breakfast was the same

The waitress was apologetic and took the meals away promising fresh breakfasts

When they returned they were hot

However……..

They were not new meals. I know this as the black pudding was the same one I sent back. I did explain to the waitress that I had cut a portion of they pudding away on my initial tasting

On top of this the tomato was covered in pepper. I never add pepper but my wife does, so they had switched tomatoes

Again the waitress and Manager were apologetic but this was a step too far

We left and I believe that other diners were having similar experiences

The manager did take my contact details but it is two days and I have not heard from them

Thank you for your review and feedback. I'm sorry to hear how disappointing your breakfasts were with us and how the matter was dealt with at the time, as well as for the delayed follow up call afterwards. This was a difficult day at The Inn due to the intermittent power cuts they were experiencing as a result of Storm Eunice - so certainly not our usual standard. I understand that our General Manager has now spoken with you and we do hope that you will give us another try in the future based on your previous 5 star experiences.

I like to give constructive criticism on places we visit and I have to honestly say that this is one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in, in the cleanliness, the facilities, the bedding and furniture. The only thing I could comment about was a crooked toilet seat and that was fixed while we were out. First night dinner and breakfast were fine, just let themselves down slightly on second dinner and breakfast when they didn't have us booked. Wanted us to eat outside which we declined. Anyway, all bood

The rooms do overlook the outdoor area, there is just a small window. I don't actually think you would have much problem with noise there, they have 'pods' closest to the rooms where people can eat & drink outside but it's not an enormous great area. I'm normally the first to make criticisms of a place, but this, the rooms & the food were really good and we will certainly go back there. We had the Baccus? room 2nd one in from the car park, that is furthest away and window opens at the back. it's a larger room because it's in the corner. They were also closing earlier than we have come to expect from pubs. Enjoy
