I want to say a big thank you to Sheila who helped us with having a water stop at Ollerbrook Farm and Cottages during an event we hosted to raise money for WaterAid. Your kind support was appreciated 💚

Curlew Cottage; perfect setting in a beautiful, cosy, immaculate cottage with everything we needed for a special few days away after lockdown. The hosts were so welcoming & discreet we would highly recommend this special find. Many thanks, we will return as soon as possible, Jonathan & Julie

We used to enjoy visiting Ollerbrook Cottages nearly 20 years ago before we had our two children. It was lovely to visit again this time with the kids - the cottage is just how we remember it - really beautiful and cosy. It was a great base for walking, biking, climbing and lots more plus close proximity to pubs, shops and amenities. The hosts Sheila and George were very friendly and welcoming (thank you Sheila for the home made fruit cake which we enjoyed very much). We look forward to visiting again soon.

Spent the week of Christmas in Curlew Cottage. Lovely setting, fully equipped, cosy with log burner and Christmas decorations. Owners were very welcoming. Locals came by and sang carols Christmas Eve. Lots of walking outside the front door. Pubs quiet before xmas but buzzing from Boxing Day onwards. A beautiful part of the country, we will be back.

Thank you so much for your review of Curlew Cottage at Ollerbrook. It certainly is a great time of year to visit and enjoy some of the Christmas traditions which we still enjoy here. Both our cottages are equipped to help you feel right at home, whatever the season -but Christmas is always special. Thank you for being perfect guests and for leaving the property so clean and tidy. Come again soon!

We have stayed in many cottages over the years and this was one of the best. The setting is very picturesque with many lovely walks from the door, whether you want to stroll on the flat or hike up hills. The cottage itself is very clean, cosy and well-equipped, with a blend of old and modern. It will accommodate 5 people comfortably. This will most likely become one of our regular homes from home.

We stayed in the beautifully appointed Plover Cottage for a week over the Easter break. Everything was thoroughly clean and the cottage was warm with the added bonus of the open fire which we lit every night as we don't have one at home! The cottage is small but perfectly formed, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, and has everything you could need for the week. The views are spectacular and we managed to make use of the chairs in the garden before the weather closed in. The owners live next door and were friendly and helpful without being intrusive in any way. Edale is a short walk away through farm land (lambs when we were there). We have two more cottage breaks booked this year and they have a lot to live up to.

Thank you for the kind comments about Plover Cottage. We are fortunate with the location of the properties, being situated in the beautiful Peak Park -and you were lucky in getting at least a taste of spring weather! We always aim to provide a clean, warm comfortable environment from which to explore the Edale Valley and beyond. We would hope to find the same level of attention to detail in any cottage which we were renting -sadly it's not always the case! We hope your next 2 cottage breaks don't let you down -and please come back again soon.

We love this cottage, it's really the best rental cottage we have been to. It's pretty and traditional yet super comfortable with lovely bathrooms and kitchen, open fire, magnificent views and Sky TV! We made our second visit at Easter with two children and had a lovely time with great walks direct from the cottage and lots to see and do in the area. Thank you to our very helpful hosts Jenny and Keith.

Thank you so much for your kind review -it's always especially rewarding to welcome people back to Ollerbrook for a second, third and in a few cases fifth visit! Although the garden is late coming into it's finery this year, the benefits of fewer leaves are the unobscured views across to Mam Tor and The Great Ridge. Hope to see you back here again!

We stopped in the smaller of the 2 cottages for a small break late in Feburary. We`ve been to Edale on several occasions so knew what to expect from the area and this cottage did not disapoint. With great access to the various walks nearby we actually preffered being a little bit further out but everything still in walking distance. We loved the view from the bedroom of Hollins Cross and the garden area. The owners were friendly and helpful and we will certainly go back - perhaps when a little warmer !!

We spent 5 wonderful days at Plover cottage as a family of 4. We found the cottage layout to be ideal for the holiday. Kitchen with island and dining area and very cosy living room with log fire. WiFi can be hit or miss but that was not an issue, especially with the sky cinema available on the Sky box. 3 bedrooms which meant our 2 children could have their own bedroom. Very reasonable bedroom size and ensuite for master bedroom. The cottage had everything we needed or could have needed. Wonderful Peak view from bedrooms. Dedicated car park for cottages. We hardly used the car during our stay as we could walk anywhere, pubs, hills... We were lucky enough to get enough snow during our stay to go sledging with the children in the field at the back of cottage. We would certainly want to visit again. A wonderful stay in a wonderful cottage. We love Edale. …

Thank you so much Robin for your wonderful review of our cottage. We try to create a real home from home and it's always rewarding to hear our guests feel that we have succeeded. The snow was a bonus for a young family -there is so much good sledging around here -did you know we had a ski lift here until the 1970's! You would be very welcome back anytime.

Ollerbrook Cottages are located in the beautiful countryside of Edale. A great location for walks right from the front door. For a small village there was a specular firework display on Bonfire night. Unfortunately it rained but this did not stop a substantial crowd from enjoying the evening. The Cottage we stayed in had everything needed to enjoy a weekend or extended holiday. The Owners were great at providing information on the area and recommendations on the best restaurants in the area.
