It was great to meet you all and I do hope we can welcome you back. Our pub recommendations in the wider valley include the Cheshire Cheese Inn and Old Hall Inn both in Hope (after a nice 2.5 hour walk along the Mam Tor ridge from our front door and a quick train ride home); the Hathersage Social Club about 20 mins by car or two hops on the local train service (and near the outdoor lido in Hathersage), or the Old Hall and Paper Mill in Chinley, a good 4 hour yomp from our front door and likewise a quick train ride home.

Us and the 4 kids came over the October Half Term, slightly worried about how cold it might be in a tent during the cold spell we had into November. But it was amazing, the stove kept us warm and the electric blankets kept the kids cozy all night and in their beds until morning!
