First time staying at this Campsite but most definitely won't be the last. Staff are very attentive, facilities are kept very, very clean. Onsite shop is very reasonably priced, there is a little bar, and a beer tent was put up on the Saturday evening, there is an onsite food wagon and over our weekend stay a fish and chip wagon was pitched up in the forecourt where the bar is, there is picnic tables around this area also. Each pitch had its own picnic table which the kids thought was great. They have a seperate undercover facility for washing pots and even have a pet wash station! They really have thought of everything. The campsite is very peaceful and both entrance and exit is secured by key coded barriers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we can't wait to visit again! Thank you Laneside for making our weekend such a lovely experience!

Lovely stay at Laneside despite the dodgy weather! Pitches nicely spaced out, Shower/toilet facilities great, there is an old and new block, the old is fine clean just a bit dated, the new is all shiny and new and they have individual toilet with basin (wash rooms) cubicles which is such luxury on a camp site. Staff great, friendly helpful. The only down sides are the Wifi at £1 or £2 a day depending on what you want, bit of a fiddle just include it in the price. The other down is the traffic/train noise although after a first night of little sleep I just got used to it and it didn't bother me anymore. I would definitely stay again the good outweighs the bad easily and the position of the site is great for transport and access to walks. Thanks for a great stay.

Stayed a week on Pitch A9, fully serviced, hard standing
good sized pitch, plenty of room for caravan, awning and car to be parked in a line within the pitch boundaries.
Unfortunately this pitch gets little to no sunshine due to the hedge and high trees behind it, but that's my only gripe!
Showers and toilet blocks were clean and tidy most of the time, you cant legislate for some people and the mess they think is acceptable to leave behind themselves.
The site is in a great location with Hope village within easy walking distance, with several cafes, pubs, a deli, a small supermarket and a great curry house which will do cash on delivery to the red phone box by reception, can highly recommend.
There are several walks direct from the site and plenty of others within a short drive.
I would happily recommend Laneside Caravan Park to anyone and will definitely return in the near future

Lovely, very well kept site in the heart of the Hope Valley. Booking went well and on our arrival at the barrier Julie met us and explained all we needed to know at that time and showed us our pitch. We had requested EHU and our MH is relatively large, so our pitch worked out to be perfect for us. The facilities were spotless and, as it was becomming a quite time of year, the 'older' facilities block was being closed and the new block the main facilities block. This was very well proportioned and quite posh tbh. Within the laundry hut is also the informations room and there is loads of info and books/DVDs to borrow. We were only here for a couple of nights as we wanted to do a walk on our full day, we will however be back for longer to do more of the fab walks in this ares. An ideal location to explore this part of the Peak District, even if you don't have a car!!

Really easy to navigate round the sites website to create our booking. Instructions were very clear from the booking form on what to do on arrival and you are also provide a code so you can enter and exit the site during your stay. We were met by Julie who was so friendly and explained how the site worked then took us to the pitch.
I’d booked a super pitch which was very well maintained as were all pitches around us, site is very well kept. The old shower block was still open along with the new one, both very clean and well kept. I noticed there was a very substantial pot wash area, washing machine and dryers also available in the information hut. There’s also a doggy wash which is great especially if you have a pooch that’s got very muddy. There’s a small shop on site, personally didn’t use but it’s good for essentials if needed.
There’s a visiting bar which comes at weekends, which is lovely and the owners are lovely, they also have a food truck which visits on a Saturday.
Hope village is a 5/10 min walk from the site, some lovely pubs, small spar shop and a lovely little cafe too.
Buses run from outside the site which go to Castleton which is about 10 mins drive and further afield and the train station is a few mins walk from the site also.
I would definitely recommend this site and I will definitely be returning hopefully in the not too distant future.

This is now our go to camping holiday site. I almost don’t want to leave a review so it doesn’t get ruined by popularity but that would be fair to all the wonderful people who make it so special just because I want to be selfish. Yet again Darren and Jules have made it a really special holiday as have all the staff. They have become a huge part of why we return each year. The staff and the regular season holders have now become good friends and it’s wonderful knowing our young daughters can walk around the site learning independence with so many good people looking out for them especially Robert. Polly’s breakfast van is awesome and especially the waffles and Polly always looks after the girls. The wash blocks are always kept clean fastidiously by the cleaners and it’s only marred by people who don’t live by ‘ leave it as you want to find it’ but that’s not the site’s fault. However they get left, Jess sorts it and she does so with complete commitment. All the staff are amazing in running a great site. As you can read I can’t praise the site enough, great location, great site and great people. We booked for next year before leaving and already can’t wait for next year.

This is a very well maintained site, two loo and shower blocks, one of which is new.
Hope village is only a few minutes walk away and there is a bus service from just outside the site into Hope and Castleton.
If you are after some walking there are several nice loops, including Lose Hill to Mam Tor coming back via Castleton.
There is a small shop on site, food vans visit (Fish and Chips on Saturday)

1st time staying at Laneside campsite for myself and my partner, and it didn't disappoint one bit.
From the beginning of the booking (made last year, then rescheduled to this year by myself due to unexpected change of plans), right up until departure, the staff have been outstanding. Helpful in anyway possible.
The facilities are outstanding and the site is spotless.
Pitches are all really good sizes and varied depending on your needs.
We had a lovely little electric hook up grass pitch, just perfect for our van and awning, with views of the surrounding hills in the background.
The onsite shop sells most of the things you may need and a few more for good measure.
There's a football / playing field for fun and games, which also has a lovely little stream running by it. Adjacent to this area, there is a really good sized dog exercise enclosure. It's fenced off all the way around in one form or another, but be aware, I think a good jumping dog could probably clear it. Luckily, ours doesn't, so we could let him off lead for him to go bonkers.

If you didn't want to cook, then there was a breakfast van available for morning food, and a fish and chip van in the evening (for the weekend we was there at least, but check if it's an all year service for yourselves!).

Overall. The site is excellent, and without a shadow of a doubt, we'll be returning as and when time allows.

This is a great base for exploring the area. The wardens are friendly and welcoming, the amenities blocks are very clean and tidy and there is a small shop for essentials. Gas bottle exchange is also available. An added bonus is the breakfast van on site and the visiting chippie at the weekend. The site has a mix of seasonal pitches, hard standing and grass pitches for tourers and a tent area, all nicely maintained. One of the big plusses for us was the zero tolerance of loud outdoor music and gatherings till all hours. Peace descends after 1030. Are there any negatives ? there are a lot of pitches and it does feel slightly cramped but we managed OK . If you are near the road it is noisy with passing traffic even through the night so if you are a light sleeper (I'm not) you would be advised to request a pitch closer to the river. All in all we had four great days here enjoying the fabulous landscape and the beer festival at the local pub.
