The B&Bs interior is very modern and clean. The host is very welcoming and recommends walks, bike rides etc. The breakfast was amazing, the sausages especially good. would recommend and will definitely stay again next time we are in the area

Thorndene is about 1km outside of Hope along the main road, but nearer to the train station and just by the Travellers Rest pub. The rooms are spacious and quiet and there is parking in the front for cars. There is no TV or coffee making facilities in rooms, but there is a lounge downstairs with a TV and tea...

Stayed over for the second May bank holiday. Location is very convenient with loads to do in the surrounding area; from great walks to trying local delicacies like Hope Valley ice cream,to going caving near Castleton. There's a pub 100 yards down the road and there are other food options in nearby Hope and Castleton. The B&B is set in...

My partner and I stayed at Thorndene this past weekend and had a great stay. John, the owner, is friendly and welcoming and runs a tight ship. The room we stayed in (#5) was cosy and the en suite was clean, spacious and light. All the usual options were available for breakfast, and the very decent full English comes with...

I visited Thorndene B&B over Valentines weekend with my wife. Our stay was outstanding with very clean Toilet/shower. The shower was great loads of pressure and easy to control the temperature. The King sized double bed was really comfortable with luxurious bedding. The breakfast/lounge were well laid out and the cakes on arrival tasted really nice. Tea and coffee or...

I chose Thorndene because it is near Hope Station so that I could catch the train to Edale and the bus to Castleton for walks I wanted to do; also because it is considerably cheaper than B&Bs in Edale. Everything worked out well. I enjoyed relaxing in the TV and breakfast room where there was a fridge to keep food...
