Do not hesitate to visit this charming, amazing B&B if you want a home away from home with a fantastic breakfast and the friendliest hostess. We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. There are fantastic walks right on the doorstep and Vivienne has all the information you need to help you make the most of this fantastic location. The accommodation was great and extremely clean and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic. We had a truly fantastic stay and time in this wonderful part of the Peak District.
This was our 2nd stay at Underleigh House, there is simply nothing to fault. The rooms are spacious and immaculate, the gardens are beautiful, the breakfast is nothing short of fabulous and Vivienne is a fantastic hostess. We too our 2 dogs and stayed in the townhead suite where they have access to the garden. There are some fantastic hikes from the door step, this time we moved around and visited Castleton, Edale, Hathersage, all on the door step. There are plenty of pubs serving great food close by, a short drive or a walk into the village for the local pub. We will be back and wish we had stayed longer.
Me and my wife recently visited here for 2 nights for our honeymoon and first impressions I was really impressed. The breakfast was unreal I couldn't fault it and as for the grounds and the rooms they are wonderful. I couldn't thank the owner enough for a wonderful stay and me and my wife will be definitely be coming back. And as for the views they was unreal if you do get chance go on the walk up to win hill you won't be disappointed.
This is a really lovely B&B. The owner Vivienne is so welcoming and goes out of her way to make sure you’ve everything you need throughout your stay. We stayed in Thornhill which was absolutely spotless with a comfy bed, lounge/tv area along with a large bathroom with shower. The views out of the windows are stunning. There’s fresh milk and lots of options to make hot drinks. Downstairs there’s a beautiful communal lounge with a large fireplace and sofas/chairs to sit and relax after a long walk. On our first afternoon Vivienne brought us tea, coffee and cake while we sat and went through the breakfast menu to make our choices for the next morning. The breakfast is really delicious and there’s so much choice, you can select as much or as little as you wish from cereals, fruit, fish, full English, yoghurts, muesli, as well as fresh juices and hot drinks. The B&B is a 15 minute walk to the local pub, The Cheshire Cheese Inn, which serves nice food and is very cosy. It’s a longer walk into the main area of Hope but only about 30-40 mins, and the B&B is perfectly located for walking Lose Hill, Great Ridge and Mam Tor etc. We loved it here, we were made to feel so welcome and will definitely return.…
Upon arrival Vivian greeted us instantly, we stood and had a good conversation with her. Being in my 30s she made me feel like I'd just got home. The beds are super soft with lovely pillows ( ideal as I hate hard beds! ) we stayed in the derwent suite complete with its own separate living room. There was loads of tea and coffee ( not just the usual 2 tea bags ). I loved the real ale which was left as an opition. Vivian has really looked after us so far here, it's been a total pleasure to stay. If I had of known how nice th beds were and how helpful vivan was I would of instantly booked. We travelled down on business for two nights and ideally wanted a £39 travel lodge, sadly they wernt available, however, this is worth every penny! Thank you for a lovely stay xx
Stayed here last month for a few nights over my birthday. Very friendly accommodating owner and staff. Lovely room with adjoining lounge. Everything you could imagine was provided, definitely one of the best b&b’s we’ve ever stayed in! The guest lounge was also available, tea and cake provided on arrival and when back from day out which was very welcome and a nice touch. Amazing breakfasts, so much choice and cooked to order at time to suit. Lovely area, very quiet and walkable into Hope but you need a torch at night!! Thank you Vivienne for your hospitality 🥰
My first stay in this lovely B&B. Wonderful location with access to fabulous walks towards Mam Tor & Win Hill. Our cosy room had amazing views over the Peaks and the breakfast kept us fuelled all day. I'm sure we'll be back soon!
Wonderful cosy b+b. Location good, room great food wonderful.staff friendly and helpful. The host will offer you tea or coffee when you get back from your day out. If you walk out at night take a torch that lane is dark.
We have recently returned from a 2 night stay at the first class Underleigh House, this is the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. Superb breakfasts with fantastic choices. We stayed in the Derwent suite which was immaculate and had its own lounge. Vivienne is definitely a lovely friendly hostess and made us feel really welcome. Would recommend 100%
We were so pleased to return to this delightful luxury B&B. Vivienne is such a great host and seems to make this a wonderful place to stay effortlessly which of course means she puts in a lot of hard work to achieve this effect. This time we stayed in the Derwent Suite which consist of a lovely spacious bedroom plus en-suite with a walk-in shower. In addition you have a lovely sitting room. The views of the surrounding hills are magnificent. The choice at breakfast is we think the most comprehensive we have ever experienced in any B&B. We always enjoy having a good selection of fruit at breakfast and that is exactly what we experienced again this time. Cooked breakfast was equally excellent and for the first time we experienced and enjoyed oatcakes. We cannot fault our stay here and very much look forward to our next visit.…
