We have returned again to Derwent Cottage with our 2 daughters; 4 times, now! The walk to Bakewell (about 50 minutes) is beautiful and always a highlight, even with the spectacular Monsal Trail (you can rent bikes to cycle it, and a pull-along trailer for little ones) and Ashford on the Water (paddling and duck-feeding) all walking distance from the...

Thank you Tiffany - so pleased you all enjoyed Churchdale once again. We hope to see you again next year when you will be able to sample the new bathroom we are planning for Derwent Cottage.

We had a great week here. We didn't know this part of the world at all, and it is absolutely beautiful, with lots to explore both on the doorstep and further afield - fabulous walks, cycling etc if you're feeling energetic, or excellent pubs and beautiful views if not! Ashford is a lovely place to be based. The accommodation (Wye...

From the quality of their website we had no fears about the standard of the accommodation and were not disappointed. Derwent is a lovely cottage with everything required provided, from fresh flowers in the lounge to a torch in a bedside table. The location is ideal for walking, cycling or using a car to visit the many local attractions.

We were warmly welcomed by Sarah. Stayed in Wye Cottage. A beautiful cottage to the highest specification. Loved the tasteful furnishings and finishing touches. The best accommodation we have stayed in so far. Walks from Cottage very convenient . This is accommodation we would highly recommend.

We have stayed at Churchdale before (Derwent) and we have just booked again for a third visit. The cottage is beautiful, extremely clean (how is the cutlery so shiny?) and well stocked with unexpected but lifesaving 'bits' - foil, toilet rolls, washing machine pods etc. You can walk to the Monsal Trail cycle hire shop in 20 minutes, you can...

Had a wonderful time. Sarah is an excellent host and had even laid on some snufflebaby products for our young baby without prompting. We stayed in Wye which was the smallest property, but was still massive in size. Prebooked the food package which gave us plenty for 3 days worth of breakfast (local bacon / eggs / sausages etc -...

Thank you for your review and we hope you will return next year. In January we are enlarging the bathroom and building a separate shower, hopefully this will address the problem.

We recently stayed at Wye Cottage. A lovely place with everything you need...even pegs to hang your washing out! Nice and cosy and a huge bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen and cosy living room. Good sized bathroom too. The only issue we had is that it is mid-terraced...not an issue in itself, but means should your...

Thank you for your review and we are so pleased you found the cottage comfortable. This is the first time we have had a complaint about noisy neighbours and are very sorry that you were troubled during your holiday.

My wife and I stayed in Wye Cottage for a week in August. The cottage is extremely comfortable and fitted with every amenity that anyone could wish for. The cottage exudes quality throughout and is genuinely a 'home from home'. The owners live on site at their beautiful farm and were very welcoming on our arrival. The situation of the...

We stayed for a week in Derwent Cottage. This cottage was probably the best equipped self catering holiday let we have ever stayed in and we've stayed in quite a few! The location was perfect for exploring the Monsal Trail and surrounding areas of Buxton, Bakewell and Dovedale. We wouldn't hesitate to return!

We stayed in Derwent cottage & it had everything we needed. Just 3 cottages in a peaceful setting away from the main road. Lovely walks nearby, especially the Monsal trail. Ashford in the Water is nearby & is a pretty little village.
