Nice site with nice bar, showers and toilets. Grear location for Bakewell and Ashford. I know it's a family site so children are playing which was no problem... The only major flaw we had which I really feel should be addressed are the use of e scooters!! Some teenager nearly knocked me over when I came out the toilets, didn't care, caught him next day on it like a maniac, really think they're a danger to young children, animals and adults on there. On your do's and dont's you state no balls, skate boards etc, think you really need to rejig your rules and put e scooters on that list too....we spoke with a few people and they were in agreeable with this so hopefully you will look at possibly reviewing the use of these.

What a well kept site. First time we have stayed and definitely will not be the last.every one was so friendly and site staff so helpful. First outing in our motorhome, some things we were unsure of but the people on the site were so helpful and came and explained things nothing was too much trouble.plenty to do off site. Aldi not too far away, brewery that does a quiz night. Did not want to come home,so can't wait to go back .

This was our first visit to this site and we will definitely use it again when we’re in the area. The toilets and showers were kept clean even when it was busy at the weekend. We enjoyed the pizza on Friday evening. The hard standing pitch for our caravan was a decent size, with lovely views of the surrounding hills. Please note that while there is a hairdryer in the main women’s shower there isn’t one in the porta cabin. Also it would be nice if there were somewhere to hang a waterproof up whilst washing the dishes - but the water was lovely & hot. There is a very nice cafe in Ashford under Water which serves delicious filled Derbyshire Oatcakes. Also a village shop if you like a daily paper. A visit to the restaurant at Haddon Hall is well worthwhile. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced, for the quality & quantity, we thought. It’s very popular so, unless you go early, you may have to wait for a table. There’s lots of lovely foods to buy in the Chatsworth Farm Shop, including Derbyshire Oatcakes and Bakewell Puddings. Another nice cafe and excellent small shop is at Calver Crossroads. Near there, on the Barlow road is The Derbyshire Gift Shop which is well worth a visit, especially on a wet day. Hopefully we’ll be back next year because this site is in a very good location for walking and tourist attractions.

Friendly, helpful staff, easy check in. Pitch was large enough with easy accessible electric point. Water not to far away. Quiet on a night time even though it was busy for a the weekend. Toilet disposal a little grim but have seen worse. The refuse (refuge) area needs attention, needs screening really. Toilets showers acceptable, clean most of the times during a very busy weekend. 20 mins walk into Bakewell, 15 to ashford in the water.

What a find- a very busy site but exceptionally well managed. Swift check in ( you can pull Up alongside gate to wait if you arrive before 1 pm) Tight pitch to get on to but have been on worse. Hardstanding caravan pitches well Laid out, equally spaced with e light room for van plus awning, can next to you on the grass slope ( but pitches very flat and even) Site was very busy but at no point did the water run cool, the showers/ toilets were well looked after - sadly as with any site you only need the odd family with little respect for them to fall below par but always someone on hand to freshen them Up. Clubhouse is a lovely, well stocked and well used. On site pizzas once a week were a nice treat, recommend booking in advance as they were busy. Play park was well used- open 9am- 10pm - sadly the older kids congregate here after these hours causing a little disruption but again some families don’t have to much respect for others. The walk into Bakewell is a fair bit further than 10 minutes . Thornbridge brewery and tap room is however a 15 min walk and worth every step- a real find. All staff that where encountered were polite, helpful and efficient. Cannot wait to return with my family but would equally be happy on this site if it was just adults. Tips- Washing machines take 2 x £1 ,1 x 50p and the wash takes 25 mins. (Again sadly some people put washing in and left it For nearly a whole day- )this but could be a bit more ‘policed’ by staff. Games room lovely- £10 deposit and £2 for half hour for pool table

Currently here for the second year running one of the cleanest and friendliest sites we have stayed on. Hot showers, good sized pitches, very helpful staff whom nothing too much trouble. It is also useful to have a good sized dog area. No doubt we will be back.

Amazing holiday park, came for 4 nights Thursday while Monday was the best park I've ever been to! Toilets and shower cubicles are immaculate to say alot of people use them. You can't expect them to be clean all the time guys because some people don't mop the showers after use, but that isn't the parks fault. Amazing staff. Checking in was a swift activity and took no longer than a minute for us to get our pitch number! Cute little games room with a football table, game of pool and darts all very entertaining with vending machine aswell! Pub on-site serving amazing drinks this site is just overall amazing and amazing environment!

Arrived at the site to a warm welcome at the reception. Checking in was straightforward and quick. Handed a site map with clear instructions to our pitch, which was level and on hard standing with electricity. The toilet block is modern and very clean. There is a bar area with a nice mixture of ales and beers, with indoor and outdoor sitting available. It’s in an ideal location and a short 30 minute walk into Bakewell.

We have just had a 3 night weekend at the park. We were a group of 4, 2 in a caravan and 2 in a tent. We were placed near each other and the staff couldn’t have done any more for us. The facilities are good. Yes the park was busy but there was a really nice feel about it all. 99% of people were friendly, relaxed and tolerant of each other. We didn’t have an issue with the shower or toilet blocks at any time. I’ve seen previous reviews about dirty showers etc all I can say is it’s a campsite with many people using the same showers in a day. I think it would be impossible to keep them pristine! 100% we would return to the campsite.
