To begin with I thought the receptionist was quite cold.
Room was spacious, although I’m not sure why we’re given room for disabled? Nevertheless, the rooms were nice, tidy and baby-cot was waiting for us so we didn’t need to use ours.
Pool and whirlpool were very nice, but was slightly confused when I found out we didn’t have dressing gowns in room but had to rent them + we’re lucky to get any as there were last two left?
Biotop swimming area was very interesting thing to see, and quite romantic in the evening.
Best part of our stay were lovely girls at the restaurant/bar who were really nice, helpful and so caring especially with our baby boy.
Buffet breakfast were good, with options for everyone. We’ve also very much enjoyed dinner’s a la carte.
We’ve enjoyed both outside and indoor kids area, although unsure why was there a necessity for locking up the indoor one before the “Wellness centre receptionist” starts her shift? But that’s obviously not an issue 🙂
The hotel could be better prepared for kids though. No kettles or microwave in rooms, no option to borrow a kettle, so bartenders “had to” give me teapot with hot water instead.
One last thing, I wouldn’t expect to pay for storage of bikes, but I understand hotel wants to make money on majority of guests that are in season on bikes

This is probably the best hotel I have ever been to. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are spacious, the food is great, the SPA and the massages are very professional. The landscape is beautiful and very calming. The staff is very courteous and competent. Oh Jesus! I am looking forward to COME HERE AGAIN!

Very nice place, and very excellent a tasty cuisine with kind staff. Clear wellness and room. A pleasant place surrounded by vineyards and beautiful countryside with access to all local wineries with tastings. Very recccommend to visit and for a stay. Michael

Wonderfull accomodation, very good services inclusive wellness and kids playgroud. Tasty meals and possibility to select wine for diner or for a gift. There are many variations for a trip everytime to national park on Austrian ir Czech side.

We stayed in this hotel with our 2 small kids in one of their appartments. The appartment was well-equipped (modern furniture, 2 flat screens, huge bathroom, electronic external curtains) Our kids loved the garden, huge bathtub in the room and the outdoor kids playground - especially the jumping trampoline.The staff were smiley and helpful. We could borrow small scooters for us and our kids for free - these are available at the lobby at all times. The food was definitely above average with low-priced daily specials even at the weekends. What hotel would serve you vanilla puddings with cream as an option at breakfast? Hotel Happy Star is simply an excellent hotel which deserves at least 4 stars. Higly recommend it for vacations.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We came as a group of four adults and five kids (0-3y). We choose this hotel because of the unlimited access to the pool, fine playground and indoor play room. Some things were great, some things little bit dissapointing.
Pros: - very nice spacious room, plenty of storage place, comfy beds, very good lighting (you can chose the intensity), big bathroom, everything new and clean - nice playground for kids - the quality of food, dinners were delicious, breakfast simple but tasteful
Cons: - kids playroom was small, some toys old, some toys dangerous for small kids, located in front of the wellness reception, far from our room, far from the restaurant and open only from 10AM - the pool was open also only from 10AM, water was quite cold for kids - massage was OK but since there is an external masseuse they didn´t offer more time options - staff in the restaurant friendly one day and annoying next day, same for the wellness receptionist, one was very nice but the other one seemed annoyed by the kids - one day the restaurant was crowded and we were told they are not able to take our order - not possible to access wellness on the day of the check out

We spent one night during our travel to Austria there. We were surprised by nice staff, low price and fine small wellness included in the price. We were satisfied with the room, comfortable bed and a choice of pillows. For the breakfast there was a wide range of variety. Parking for free. The facility was little bit old fashioned but clean. More cleanliness could be in wellness.

We only visited the restaurant for lunch so this may not be the true review of the hotel, but I need to share my experience. All dishes were very good, tasty as well nicely arranged. The stuff was cold, looked bored, did not behave like in 4-star hotel. They gave as the meals in the hand or served across a table. On the question "Do you have free table?" we got harsh answer "Cant you see that it is full?"

However we have never been a regular hotel guests, we dined in their popular restaurant for many times. The ambience is nice and cosy with big windows to their lovely garten. The dishes are tasty and good prepared for suprisely low price by this high quality. And the staff is friendly and polite. Simply the right place for lunch, dinner or celebration!

We stayed here for pleasure. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, the room was absolute perfection, and the view was beautiful, lovely surrounding. The beds are super comfy, very efficient wifi and great food in the hotel restaurant. Highly recommended. Will deserve 4 stars, not only 3. Will definitely be back.
