The owners were very, very nice. The rooms comfortable with very good beds. The atmosphere warm and pleasant. Amenities ok. Beautiful area . The food rather basic. We would stay there again if we go to Auvergne

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. We were glad to hear that, overall you enjoyed your stay and we are grateful for your positive comments about us. I am sorry though that you found our food to be "basic". We do not claim (or indeed want) to be a gastronomy restaurant with cutting... More

This is a restaurant with rooms (or vice versa), but I can only review the restaurant as we were staying with friends nearby and we came to eat here. The building is in a pleasant spot by the river in the tiny village of Auzelles. It is a small restaurant, with not many tables, and a super relaxed atmosphere. It... More

We stayed at this auberge on our way to the Languedoc in August. The location is beautiful and we had a very warm welcome. A great deal of care has been taken in the refurbishment that has recently taken place. We were upgraded to a beautifully equipped large room with great facilities. Dinner that evening was superb using local produce... More

What a great find De Chabanettes was, great setting, Tim and Ingrid are great hosts, the food and wine was fantastic and the property had a really nice atmosphere. I have given the Auberge de Chabanettes five "blobs", which is a rarity for me -- but, if you go with the correct expectation I expect you will also be charmed. Firstly, you need to know that Tim (English) and Ingrid (French) run the place (at least in September when we stayed) apparently entirely on their own. Consequently, your visit... More
