First visit for our family, 2 adults and 3 children (12/11/4) and we could not have asked for more - have already booked again for 2023 and the children loved it as much as us - they even want to learn Bulgarian now!! Beautifully located in a small village with easy access by car to beautiful local sights, walks, pools, shops, entertainment - anything you could ask for. The accommodation is spacious and again equipped with everything and more. The hosts, Gary and Ellie are unbelievably accommodating and helpful and will assist with places to visit, recommended places to eat or shop etc and genuinely make you feel at home. Would 100% recommend to anyone...and already have!

Beautiful and spacious villa 😍. Everything you could want in one place, pool, bbq area, bar and much more. Visited here late May this year and can’t wait to come back again already. Gaz and Ellie were so accommodating and helpful, giving us local places to visit and anything we wanted or needed they were always on hand to help. The best 9 days spent in Pushevo. Thankyou for everything both of you. Highly recommend booking! See you again soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hillside Guesthouse in Pushevo is so much more than accommodation. Gaz and Ellie are the perfect hosts and provide the most prestigious welcome for guests. Ellie got in touch before we arrived to ask us for a shopping list so we had food on arrival. We are a vegan family of 6 so we had some tricky requests! Ellie provided details for car hire, flights and everything we needed to make our journey as smooth as possible. This was our first family holiday with our girls and to say we were stressed was an under statement. Ellie made sure we had all the information we needed and was brilliant at reassuring us before we set off. The accommodation is set in the beautiful village of Pushevo with stunning views of the surrounding area. You can sip your coffee on the balcony as the sun rises and enjoy a pint by the log burner while the sun sets. It really is perfect! Ellie and Gaz also showed us several of the local tourist spots including the waterfalls at Hotnitsa and the local car boot sale which was delightful. It was just like having family members take care of us! Not only did we fall in love with the country, but we made wonderful friends in Gaz and Ellie (and all the gorgeous local stray puppies!) We were also in search of a home in Bulgaria. Ellie and Gaz have all the connections and put us in touch with everyone we needed to help us find our ideal property. Thanks guys for supporting us and helping us find our dream home! If you want a comfortable, relaxing stay in Bulgaria then nowhere does it like Hillside. Thank you so much to both of you for making our first family holiday so amazing 👏 💗 They are memories that will last a life time and we cannot wait to come back and visit you again soon!…

I had the pleasure of staying here for a week this past summer and can't wait to go back again! Gary and Ellie are the perfect hosts; attentive, friendly, helpful and sincere. They will have you in stitches constantly and you will feel right at home immediately! The B&B itself is very well decorated, it's clean and extremely spacious. There is also a bar within the building, where both Gary & Ellie host events each week. The quiz is not to be missed!! Breakfast here was also brilliant, Ellie's poached eggs are the best you will ever have! As a vegetarian, I was well looked after and catered for, absolutely no issues what so ever :) The location is also great, with lots of beautiful places to explore in the surrounding areas. It's also a short taxi ride to town to enjoy the bars and restaurants they have there - lots of which have beautiful views. All in all, a wonderful stay. I can't wait to return in 2019. Thanks guys!…

We stayed with the owners during October last year and I would challenge anyone to find a more friendly, helpful and kind hearted family to stay with anywhere. Their customer service was above and beyond what was required and we said goodbye feeling like we were leaving friends behind. Ellie's breakfasts are fabulous - you cannot be disappointed. They could not have made us feel more wlecome. Bulgaria itself was a delight and we did some trips we will never forget! Must see for sure is Buzludzha, Shipka Monumnet and the beautiful town on Veliko Tarnovo - all recommended to us by Gaz & Ellie. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I have been a few times now, the owners are freindly and very accommodating. The village is a lovely quaint and picturesque place to relax and chill out. The guest house is clean and well decorated with a cosey homely feeling, breakfast is great too.

This is the second time myself and my partner have visited and stayed at Hillside. Gary and Ellie were fab. Great breakfasts. Very helpful and very friendly. They have an excellent knowledge of the area and can recommend lots of lovely restaurants, taxis and places to visit. The b and b rooms are lovely, well looked after and clean. The first time we stayed we also had use of a travel cot and highchair which was very useful for our little boy. We would highly recommend Hillside and will definitely be visiting again.

We live in Bulgaria but have stayed at hillside many times after functions and events held there . Lovely rooms, fantastic , friendly hosts and the best full breakfast served in any B&B in Bulgaria . A must stay if you're in the region.
