Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A very nice place to stay, best in the area with very tasty food (breakfast and dinner, but not lunch), excellent spirit drinks (horinca). It has comfortable rooms, playground for children and a few pets much loved by the kids. An excellent location, nice host and very-very good food!

If you want to get away from the fuss of the big city life, or experience the authenticity of the Maramures region, this is the place where you should stay. The fresh air, the homemade traditional meals, and the hardworking staff won’t dissapoint you. Also, Claudia, the owner might be the sweetest person on Earth!

Dinner was actually a 3 course meal! Everything was delicious and accompanied by tradititional alcoolic drinks. Breakfast was again a true food festival: a varied mixture between tradition and modern kitchen. Totally enjoyed the pottery! Spotless clean rooms and a lot of souvenirs to buy! Try the natural soap "Ileana Cosinzeana" and "Fat-Frumos". Spend the evenings in the garden!

We had visiting Ieud and we found very nice info referring to the location. We would like to eat some traditional foods unfortunarely not being possible - they served only breakfast and dinner - moreover dinner starting with 9.00 pm.

The rooms are fitted with traditional furniture. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, they're doing everything in their powers to ensure all guests are feeling perfectly. The food is food and local spirits are tasty. All meals are done with local products. For us it was the perfect base for visiting the wooden churches of Maramures.

The guesthouse gives credit to its name: from the furniture, to the wall decorations and food, everywhere around you, the place is filled with everything traditional in Maramures region. The hosts are friendly and helpful, always doing their best to make you feel welcome. I would also recommend this place if you are travelling with kids as they have a large courtyard, table tennis, slide and sling and even a huge trampoline!

A traditional place indeed. Claudia and its team are very professional and extremely friendly. The place has been done and redone in the best tradition of the region. One feels welcome. Don't stay too long, as you are in acute danger of getting fat! The meals (and the Schnaps) make you feel very much at home. the rooms are very clean and superbly decorated. Genuine folklore! Highly recommended!

How we longed to live this experience! Forget time, Forget stress, forget any worries you have. Just go back to the route of what is important, cherish what is rare and appreciate the small things in life. This is the place to be when in Leud. This pension is located in a wonderful green area. Welcomed by Claudia with her big smile the pension is managed by her and her assistant. They manage everything: they reserve the rooms, clean, cook, garden, sell local products and prepare breakfast/lunch and dinner. The room we had, more like an apartment, had a living room with TV/Cable and free wifi -Bedroom and modern Bathroom with a great shower. Authentically decorated and clean with towels and big bench to lie your bags on. These people are so generous as upon arrival they provide you with what Claudia has baked (chocolate cake, impeccable jam rolls and you can eat as much as you want and for free), you can have authentic tea anytime you want and for free as well no questions asked. (not grocery store tea bags). The food is amazing, breakfast is all made with local products (eggs, crepes, fresh baked bread by Claudia, her father's honey, jams, hams, vegetables...) we had once for dinner cabbage rolls hmmm amazing, and her soups are WOW,,,,better than any homemade one I had. We crave this now every time :).And if you ask for more of any dish she gives you more food without counting nor invoicing you. What great people they are! We bought 2 big honey jars (Polyflora) which was so tasty and pure! Upon check out Claudia gave us a small locally made bag as a gift.Nice of her. We were so sad to leave. We hope someday we can come back or at least with this review to have more people come over and try this place out. Incredible! The pension is a walking distance from a painted wooden church and another one at the other end of the road. It was a pleasurable walk there meeting locals. Barsana Monastery, a must see, is 30 minutes by car there. Go there and enjoy your stay and the food, you will not regret it.
