Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great accommodation and a very friendly owner. The rooms are small, but big enough for a couple of nights, and the are cosy and with a lot of love established. Every room has a view over the lake and the beautiful landscape. When we were there, we had really bad weather (raining all the time) and than there is really nothing to do.

Edsleskogs Wardshus was a very charming home. You can put your bags down, take a deep breath, and relax. We were only there one short night, so did't have the time to play outside, and were sorry to have missed that opportunity. The house is almost at the lake's edge and each table in the main room has a large window overlooking the pretty patio and beautiful lake. The room has comfortable sofas and chairs gathered around a cozy fireplace, roomy dining areas and is playfully decorated. Our host was charming and interesting and even put a set of local genealogy books out for us when he heard that my husband's family originally came from Sweden. We arrived in the evening after a long and rainy drive and were surprised and delighted to be offered a home cooked dinner! It was a perfect evening to sit and enjoy dinner and a bottle of wine in such a lovely setting. Breakfast, which is included, was plentiful and pleasant. I recommend Edleskogs Wardshus for either a one night stop on a long journey or for a longer vacation. You will not be disappointed.

This is a really nice country Hotel, cosy atmosphere inside and stunning surrounding nature. The rooms are great and should you be so lucky to avail of owner Johan's culinary skills then you are in for a treat. Local fresh natural produce such as venison from roe deer, moose meat and berries from the forest are big on the agenda. Johan prides himself in his charcuterie skills and after sampling a variety of his products, I can confirm the results are delicious. We were here on a week long fishing trip and enjoyed it immensely. This is an ideal location for fishermen, families, nature friends. Couldn't recommend it enough.

We went to this place just for a drink. We were parched after hiking and even though the bar and restaurant were closed the owner let us in and served us drinks! It's adorable inside, beautifully decorated and very homey. We had our drinks outside, there are chairs and a beautiful view on the lake. The kids had the best of time on the trampoline while we peacefully enjoyed the sunshine. The owner offered to send us maps of all the hikes he knew which was very sweet. I would definitely come back to this lovely place!

Very nice hotel with view on a beautiful lake. Bathroom was basic and not very clean. Very friendly owner who gives a lot of explanation about the srroundings as well as on walking and bike riding. Lunch was provided as there is only one restaurant in the neighbourhood ( 10 km away). Very nice dinner ( main course and dessert). Breakfest was poor, mainky the quality of the bread, Old, very chewy, one time even with mold on it.

We loved everything about our stay. Johan could not have been more helpful. The location is fabulous. The walking very beautiful. We walked 20k a day and didn't see a soul. Unfortunately the message that my husband is a vegetarian hadn't got to Johan, but even in the middle of nowhere they managed to step up and feed us well. Packed lunches were great. Host very entertaining and informative. Beds very comfy, showers hot, rooms clean. Can't recommend them highly enough :)
