4 days in a cottage in Northumberland didn’t sound all that exciting to celebrate my birthday, but it was pretty cheap for a Spa weekend and not too far to travel for me and my friends. Well, it may not have sounded exciting, but I was wrong, this was the best weekend away I could have wished for. The cottage was beautiful, the bedrooms large, light and airy. Ensuite bathroom in each of the 3 rooms, sparkling clean and big. Bedding was cozy with crisp white linen. Furniture accompanied the style of the cottage well. The kitchen was modern and was not missing a thing. Log burner with LOADS of logs to keep us going for the weekend. Hot tub was always on, and we could use it in 3degrees for around 2 hours before we had to put the lid on to warm it up again. The garden was tidy, and the view was amazing, daytime it was pretty, but nighttime was something special, watching the stars and the northern lights. We had constant access to the Spa, the pool was a bit cold for me, but others thoroughly enjoyed their swim every day. I took full advantage of the steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. I even took time out to just relax on the heated stone beds with a cold glass of water. Our group comprised of 30somethings females and we enjoyed every minute of it. The location is perfect, on Friday we went to the Indians in the village and on Saturday we did afternoon tea at The Running Fox, both of which were lovely and both of which I would recommend you book.

We have just returned from a 4 day stay in Coquet Lodge for a friends birthday. The lodge was exactly what we were looking for, and a perfect place to completely chill out. There are so many gorgeous restaurants nearby which we used.. Lal Khazana Indians, Running Fox and the Cook and Barker. And a fab location if you want to explore the Northumberland coast line, castles and countryside. This is our 2nd visit to this venue and definitely recommend Thanks Anthony and Chrissy for your hospitality and welcome gifts 🍰 🍾💐

We stayed in Viewfield, this was our second visit. The accommodation is spacious with amazing views across the Countryside. It had everything we needed fir a large family group and we made full use of the hot tub, sauna at facilities at Village farm. Booking a time slot in the pool was easy and our Grandchildren loved it. The log burner was one of our favorites on the cold dark nights. We has takeaway from the Indian restaurant at the end of the drive which was very good and also ate out st the Cook and Barker pub, again excellent. We visited Alnwick Castle, gardens and Lilidorei which we highly recommend. Seahouses, Amble, Lindisfarne and Bamburugh Castle where also other great places to visit. The location of the cottage is excellent, close to the A1 and coast. From booking through to departure Anthony and the team at Village farm have been amazing, outstanding communication and excellent service. Thank you from us all, we will be back.

Absolutely superb family gathering here. We had 3 cottages for the week (Pines, the Farmhouse and Farriers View) - all different but well equipped and v comfy beds. Fabulous pool and spa and very caring staff when my husband fell and hurt himself. Spacious properties and all clean with everything working. The hot tub at Farriers View added to our enjoyment and the deli in the pub is incredible. Owners easy to contact and we appreciated their flexibility. We want to come back!

We stayed at Brooks Cottage which is a lovely, cosy and extremely comfortable property, just a short walk from the excellent spa facilities. The owners have paid great attention to detail and everything was well thought out. We had a really relaxing break and would certainly return.

Had a fantastic week at Shilbottle. Our chalet was immaculate and clearly had had a recent refurb. Chalets are not overlooked and have their own private outdoor space. Swimming pool and leisure facilities fabulous. A Great facility all round . Will definitely be back.

We recently stayed at the view field property and had the most relaxing stay. We’re a large family and found this property perfect as there was plenty of space and we weren’t sitting on top of each other there was plenty rooms all with there own bathrooms, the house was lovely the kids really enjoyed the large space they had to play outdoors and particularly enjoyed the hours spent in the hot tub We would definitely recommend this property to others
