Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wooden houses with modern interior just above river Sutjeska and in front of great monument of WWII battle. Nice restaurant with domestic food nearby. All clean, nicely furnished and peaceful. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nature around divine. Must come and experience!

This villa is in a great location for hike starting points in Sutjeska National Park.

Very friendly and helpful staff at the National Park office (who own the accommodation) and neighbouring restaurant Komlen.

Breakfast is at Komlen next door to the property. We had omelette and tea/coffee each day, which was good.

Highly recommend this villa, and private sauna was a great bonus after a day's hiking.

So, I stayed here for two nights.
The rooms are a very good size, well especially for a lone traveller like me. The room is actually on two floors.
The room is very clean and has everything you'd need.
You can also park your car directly outside your room, as all the hotel rooms are situated a 100metres from the main block/restaurant.
The hotel is also situated very close to the Maglic Mountain National park area.

So why the average rating and the comment about the place being odd.

Well, it simply came down to customer service.

When it came time for me to leave, I wanted to leave early to get a good start on a hike i had planned the next morning. What i don't expect is to be told by one of the staff, early in the evening the previous night. "No, you pay in the morning" and that was it. No room for negotiation nothing. Now, when i write this is it doesn't seem that bad. But surely i shouldn't be told when I can leave.

So, by all means, stay there, but don't expect much customer service or a smile from the staff.

Positive points:
* The beds are comfortable
* Nice sauna
* Perfect location overlooking the monument

Negative points:
*The address on booking.com takes you 40 minutes further than the original location. Fortunately, we saw houses that looked similar and decided to drive back. I pointed this out to the staff, but she just laughed about it.
* If you try to call, the phone will not be answered.
* Unclear where to check in. You must check in at the information house next to the restaurant. Woman does not speak a word of English and does not explain breakfast, check-out, etc. She is very unfriendly!
* Lots of noise at night due to generator
* Dirty used towel in the sauna
* Dirty used bath slippers and bathrobes
* Shower cabin has no doors and half of the shower's functionalities do not work
* The hot tub cannot be completely filled due to the boiler being too small. So it doesn't work.
* No outdoor seating. He just sat on a towel on the floor.
* No WiFi in the house, only in the restaurant
* When checking out, it was said that the electricity was not working and that you therefore could not pay by card. While there was indeed electricity... We obviously did not have this full amount in cash. They said that we would have to wait until 2:00 PM (it was 10:00 AM) until the power came back on. I indicated that we were not going to do that and that they had to come up with another solution. We were ignored for 15 minutes. They indicated that we had to use the debit card in the town (40 minutes away). Everyone was extremely unfriendly and antisocial! It felt very unpleasant. Ultimately we collected the money with different currencies so that we could leave.
