We visited the La Taverna restaurant attached to Michelangelo's Hotel on Friday evening with our friends. We settled into our seats, John our host brought our drinks to the table, the beer was excellent. We decided to have a Tapas, the food when arrived was piping hot, well presented on slate & cast iron dishes and tasted amazing. The house...

Stayed in this hotel recently and was made to feel like one of the family. Nothing was a problem, the room was clean, quiet & warm and the food from the restaurant next door was simply first class. The staff were very friendly but professional and we will unquestionably use this place again and recommend. Thank you to Paolo, Karen,...

Booked in here at my Sister's recommendation as we were attending a family Christening five minutes away and she had stayed there before. I booked a single room for myself and other family members and friends booked double rooms. The room.... I expected quite a small room but was given a spacious room with both a double bed and a...

Read some of the previous reports but we stayed for 3 nights and was great value for the money we paid for the hotel. Meal on the Saturday was excellent again good value for the money. Breakfast was fantastic many thanks to Margaret for that. And finally thanks to John for his bar service as it exceptional. The 7 off...

Stayed with the rest of the family this weekend. The hotel has been done up over the last few years. Comfy bed, good-sized room, excellent breakfast. Staff are very friendly and made us feel really welcome. I had to change the booking the day before we arrived from 4 of us staying to just myself, this was accommodated without question....

Not the best start when people are walking out telling you not to go in due to the two hour wait for food they had. Ignoring that thinking they were exaggerating...nope...they were on the money. We hung around waiting to be acknowledged at the door with no luck after 20 minutes although speaking to two separate service staff. Another 20...

The service was diabolical! There were only 2 members of staff for the whole restaurant. Once we had ordered after waiting a while and baring in mind a table had walked out in this time, we waited a generous amount of time for starters. Once we had ate our starters they decided to tell us that there was no beef...

We have eaten here regularly and never had an issue. Meal last week was appalling, staff (bar one lady called Lynsey) didn't have a clue what was going on! Food took AGES and when it came it was wrong. Very unimpressed and it put a downer on the whole family birthday meal. One blonde waitress named Lynsey was the saving...

Went last Saturday with my friend for lunch as a treat for her birthday. Neither of us eat a lot so explained to the waiter who said we could use a coffee as one of our courses for the 3 course special which was great! We waited a while for our pizzas which wasn't really a problem as we were...
