This is the type of hotel find I love Trip advisor for. A small hotel full of character and atmosphere. Warm , friendly welcoming staff , two warm comfortable rooms and a breakfast to keep us going all day on our drive back to Portugal. We arrived in fog, we had no indication we were in an industrial area ,...

A really different small family run hotel. A busy restaurant offering local dishes in abundance (worth a visit for the food alone). The bedrooms are large and individual, with vaulted ceilings and modern bathrooms. The staff are attentive and extremely helpful. Try the breakfast, you literally can have what you want!

Welcoming, friendly staff, comfortable, full of character, hearty fare, generous portions, reasonably priced menus (inclusive of a bottle of wine!), large room (stayed in No 1) with balcony/view, free wifi, good cycling territory (dedicated car-free cycle routes nearby)

What a fabulous Hotel ~ its a pity that it is in the middle of an industrial area, in saying that it is an ideal location to base out from as we did. This is a family run hotel and they could not have done more for us ~ we don't speak Spanish but Josba (the brother) did speak some...

Hmmm. So this place really is rather strange. The hotel is really set alongside a bit of an industrial estate, with saw-mill and other factories. I had missed that in my research! The room we had was actually lovely and the history and architecture of the building is very interesting. There was no AC in the room, but when we...

We had a large, clean, spacious room with modern bathroom and lovely balcony. The furniture was old fashioned which suited the style of the beautiful old building with thick walls and plenty of character. The hardwood flooring throughout the accommodation area was immaculate and polished to a high shine and creaked and groaned loudly whenever anyone walked on it, which...

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions. It is somewhat out of the way and its location maybe not the best, but the staff, the rooms, the food, the hospitality more than make up for this minor downside. IT is both good for business and for family holidays. The standard of food outclasses nearby four and five star...

We recently stayed at this hotel and had an enjoyable stay. We didn't hear any noise as mentioned in other reviews, maybe we were on the other side. We did find it a little difficult to find as it is just out of the town and for some reason the GPS couldn't locate it. Pleasant staff and good breakfast. Would...

I recently stayed at la Larranaga with a cuople of friends. It was a fantastic building- very old- with vaulted ceilings and lots of nice antique furniture. The staff were mainly members of the family an.d were very efficient and also friendly. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. The bedrooms were spotlessly clean and there was a very modern,...

In hotel. Rooms nice enough but the surroundings r factories and the worst...a saw mill.. It is 6.50pm and it has only just stopped. From web pics and rating u would think it was a great country location...but no.... Full saw mill in operation and whilst not enjoying any view u can't even hear yourself talk. Never thought I would...

The Hospederia Larranaga allows us to enjoy a part of history nowadays. Their origins date from century XIV and their present architecture of beginnings of century XVIII; when after a fire the wood was replaced by the stone. Their walls welcome meetings of company, conventions or presentations of products and entertain to their clients with the Basque Traditional Kitchen in their two magnificent dining rooms.
