Hi, it was most paranoid place. Because it is very low on oxygen. You need to carry oxygen all the time as headache is common due to less oxygen. Old ppl with chronic disease not advisable to stay there. It is 14000ft above see level.

At Sarchu, overnight stoppage is must, Here, we have our first time experience with high altitude and lack of oxygen. Adventure camp staff help us to overcome the situation. Good tents with fresh cooked food, hot water facility and comfortable beds and quilts. What more...More

These tents provide a welcome break on the Leh- Manali Highway drive. They have comfortable beds with warm bedding and an en-suite bathroom. Food is basic but pleasant and the staff are helpful and obliging.

Sarchu offers camps people travelling to Leh and other areas. In night this place gets too cold and there are winds through out the day which can chill you to the bones. Other issue is of being at height which give sleepless nights to few....More
