Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed here for a short 2 night mid week break. The most comfortable bed I have slept in for years! The cottage has everything you need, a full kitchen and a spacious walk in shower. Large open car park with plenty of room to park. Met the lovely Lucinda who runs the place, very helpful and the banana muffins were delicious. The cottage is equipped with a Smart TV so if you are not going out you can access all your favourite apps or do what I did and plug in your Chromecast dongle into the HDMI port, I also brought my own WiFi dongle (on the Three network) and had a good signal, but you can also connect to the free WiFi and away you go. The garden is full of plants and flowers with a nice table and chairs. At the end is the pond and we had ducks visit us a few times. I took my dog and he felt right at home both in the cottage and surrounding walking areas. We were also just 30 minutes away by car to Quaker Wood and Nowton Park. The local pub has an excellent menu and is dog friendly too. Overall a very pleasant stay and will look at coming back for longer next time.

Ideal property for relaxing in the quiet countryside or visiting nearby towns and seaside. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Open plan so easy to move around. Very comfortable bed. Roomy wet room. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of power points. Easy parking. Lovely garden with bird feeders. Double doors looking out onto the garden. The Blue Boar pub in walking distance - 1 1/2 miles down quiet lane. Excellent Sunday roast.

Relaxing holiday,in a beautiful setting, spotlessly clean and well presented. There are great walks from the cottage with easy access to field for the dogs that can be off the lead. Only 7-8 miles from Bury, Diss or Thetford.

Such a lovely setting. Quiet and peaceful. The cottage was perfect for my husband's mobility issues and was clean and tidy. Lovely comfortable beds slept perfectly. Cindy and Paul couldn't have been better hosts. Will definitely visit again.

My wife and I spent the August Bank Holiday weekend at Jayes Holiday Cottage and had a wonderful time. The cottages are surrounded by beautiful countryside and there are many nice villages and pubs to visit. Our cottage was spacious, very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The owners were both very helpful and attentive and happy to provide us with local information and directions. We shall definitely return and will recommend to others.

The Jays cottages are a real hidden treasure. Excellent amenities throughout and the owners are very helpful and friendly, they make you feel like family. Can't rate this place enough. Also check out Wyken Vineyards, just down the road, the food there is class and so is the wine.

This was a last minute booking for me as I had to be in the area quite quickly. Lucinda went out of her way to accommodate me and saved the day. She had lovely scones and jam plus the makings of a nice pot of tea ready for me when I arrived. Lovely cottage with view of large pond and wildlife. Lovely country setting. Very well planned layout of cottage for people of all abilities. Great for those who like the quiet life but with lots of other nearby attractions. I defiantly recommend a visit to Jayes cottages to people of all ages

We have been coming here for 9yrs now,lm severely disabled wheelchair bound. They have bed raisers and settee raisers for us to transfer comfortably. The bathroom shower, wet room is fantastic plenty of room for us to shower. The only downside is that theres no shower, toilet chair for us to sit on.Theres grap rails but in my situation l need a shower-toilet chair. My husband has to transfer me to both of these amenities.

Cindy and Paul make you feel welcome and nothing is to much trouble for them.We love fishing, and theres plenty of places for you to visit in Suffolk.Theres a brilliant chinesse takeaway and chipshop in Botesdale 3miles away.

l really recommend this for disabled people theses two cottages, just what we need for our accommodation. Its in a very quiet village, you can either nip into Diss around 10 miles away or spend a day in Bury st Edmunds 12miles the other way.l love Bury St Edmunds,we drive through there when we are coming in for our holidays.

Going down there again in September, cant wait.

Peaceful, quiet and relaxing a cosy home from home. Owners friendly and couldn't be more helpful. A good central base for visiting areas in Suffolk and Norfolk. An excellent break from the fast pace of life at home and work in Kent. Freedom to take things slowly, to relax in the patio garden watchiing the many birds on the bird feeders or to go out exploring the wonderful countryside and attractions. Will definitely return.

Have just spent a super week in this cottage. Cottage was delightfully clean, comfortable and well equipped to meets the needs of disabled people. Had dedicated parking space adjacent to cottage. The owners were very helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble – even provided afternoon tea with homemade scones on arrival! Cottage setting is very tranquil and perfectly sited for touring Norfolk & Suffolk. Enjoyed all the wildlife that visited the patio during our stay. Would thoroughly recommend this facility to both disabled and able bodied visitors.
