Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I recently stayed in one of the cottages and found it ideal with everything I needed, close parking to the front door as well as plenty of space and privacy. The bedroom is large enough to move around with ample storage, the kitchen has everything needed and clean. The bathroom is spacious with well placed grab rails if needed. Situated in a tranquil area with a private back garden overseeing the pond which is always full of wildlife. Would be happy to recommend this cottage to family and friends.

Such a lovely setting. Quiet and peaceful. The cottage was perfect for my husband's mobility issues and was clean and tidy. Lovely comfortable beds slept perfectly. Cindy and Paul couldn't have been better hosts. Will definitely visit again.

This was a lovely clean, comfortable cottage. Very well done for disabled, although we are both fit and not disabled. Cindy was a lovely host and always willing to chat and give advice on local amenities. We really enjoyed the garden and pond area. All the ducklings were grown up but Mr & Mrs Moorhen decided to bring their new babies out and show the off. The bird feeders are kept full and the number of different kinds of birds that came so close to where we were sitting. Perfect for days out as well.

We visited from Yorkshire for a 1 week stay. It is excellent for a wheelchair user like myself and we could reverse the car right up to the door to unload. The modern build property is well thought out for disabled people and has a lot of personal touches which makes it seem more like a home than a holiday let. The place was spotless clean and there was a good supply of cleaning products, sanitiser etc. All crockery had been put through dishwasher prior to arrival and a home made afternoon tea was set out for us by Cindy, the friendly helpful owner. There are bird feeders on the patio which have lots of visitors. We will certainly be looking to return.

My husband and I have come here several times and always felt “at home” and very welcome so in Covid times we knew we could trust Cindy completely. The cottage is excellent for a wheelchair user like myself and the garden is a lovely place to sit in, watch the birds and truly relax. Wattisfield is a great base for exploring both Norfolk and Suffolk. We love Banham Zoo (especially the free flying displays), Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Southwold( although not in the peak of summer), and the NT properties at Ickworth, Anglesey Abbey and Wicken Fen are all well worth visiting – and have great access. It’s worth saying too, that for us one of the pleasures is simply being able to turn left out of the drive and walk/handcycle down the country lanes under the big Norfolk skies we love. We

Booked Kingfisher Cottage as a last minute break after Covid restrictions eased. Excellent communication with hosts prior to holiday with option to have their bedding etc or take our own. Homemade afternoon tea set out for us on arrival. Cottage was clean and tidy with sanitiser and plenty of cleaning products. Crockery had been put through dishwasher prior to arrival. Cottage was as advertised; though only a three tick rated venue it is very impressive and well thought out. It is designed for easy access and has level access to a lovely patio close to a private wildlife pond. Good location for visits to Cambridge and Southwold. Owners live next door but are not intrusive and the whole cottage is calm and quiet. Easy off road parking.

My husband and I recently had a most enjoyable and relaxing week staying at Kingfisher Cottage. We had glorious weather which allowed for leisurely breakfasts in the garden, and relaxing suppers sitting listening to birds and enjoying the delicious scent of roses wafting around us. The facilities for disabled people were excellent. (My husband is in a wheelchair). The owners were very friendly and obliging. It was a great base to explore all the pretty Suffolk villages. We would love to return one day!

Kingfisher cottage was just what we needed to relax and unwind. We have had problems with accessibility in the past - but everything was just right here. Very nicely laid out and furnished. The best bit for us was the delightful private garden - complete with almost non stop entertainment from lots of birds. Didn't need to go out. We were greeted with a cream tea and warm welcome. Loved it and will definitely go again.

We have just spent a holiday here. The cottage was lovely with everything you could want. Very well thought out for disabled holiday makers as we were. Lucinda was very welcoming and helpful. The garden was lovely to watch the great variety of wildlife visiting even saw a kingfisher. Would definitely recommend and hope to re-visit again soon. Many thanks, Alan and Angela, Stamford, Lincs.
