My second visit but first staying in the hall itself. Check-in was welcoming and friendly and our room pleasing; some quirky touches to the decor and a fabulous view across the grounds. Some noise from the room next door - a cavity between ajoining doors not sufficiently sound

The lights did surprise me too - didn't really go with the classic feel of the hotel, a bit like wearing a baseball cap with a classic suit! The fireplace is beautiful, and the lights don't go with it at all, but otherwise it's a lovely hotel, and a nice atmosphere.

Because in a hotel of that standard you expect it to be there! Reception staff weren't the most approachable of people. Also you now know this but more coffee is not in the rooms!!
