I stayed here for 4 nights. The good things about this hostel are the location (5/10 min walk to the train to go to Sydney), the private car park and the common area (except the kitchen which is small).

Alright for a few nights stay if you have things to do in Newtown
The rooms are dark but I did not spend the day in there only to sleep
All in all would stay again if had work again up there.

From the minute I walked threw the closed gates of this hostel it felt like a prison, I don't normally stay hostels but I thought for the price I'd give it a try for a few nights,sad to say I'd rather sleep in a box...More
Stayed in a 6 bed-dorm for a couple of nights. Staff mood is mixed, from friendly to almost ignoring (speaking to a friend on mobile was more important). Not much space in the room and quite run-down/ dirty, en-suite bathroom was surprisingly clean.
This hostel is very run down.. as soon as I walked into my room it stank of sweat and felt like I'd just walked into a dump. All the people in the room were long term workers so all there belongings were across the floor...More
