Stayed at Plas Bach for a little weekend getaway. A beautiful little house in a lovely area. Although it is small it still has all the home comforts you would need. Would definitely recommend if you want a quiet and tranquil holiday!

We stayed at Plas Bach, the little eco cottage, as a last minute easter break. It was perfect for us as a couple. It was very comfortable and cosy, with the best wood burner we've seen in a long time. The bed was comfortable, and it had a lovely modern bathroom and kitchenette. The little basket of treats left for us was delicious, and Pete the host was warm and welcoming. If it hadn't been raining all weekend, we would have loved to enjoy a drink on the river side bench at the back of the house. There was also a covered outdoor terrace looking out on to the beautifully kept garden, which would have been perfect for a spot of breakfast had it not been snowing! It was a 20 minute easy walk to Hay, which was perfect for digesting the delicious food we ate in Hay's many restaurants.

We were fortunate to bag Plas Bach for the first weekend of the Hay Festival. It's a beautiful place to stay. Stunning attention to detail in the way everything is put together in the hut itself and an incredible garden. We explored the grounds of Lower House and found a handkerchief tree in bloom which is apparently very rare. The walk over the fields to Hay is delightful. Peter was a wonderful host. Superb shower and lovely treats on arrival. Highly recommended.

We spent 4 nights at Plas Bach and would recommend it to any couple wanting to unwind and get away from the hubbub of daily life. The cabin is set in beautiful gardens alongside a babbling brook, and has everything you need for a self catering stay. Pete is a wonderful host, and the welcome basket of local bread, eggs, milk, Welsh cakes, marmalade, butter and a couple of bottles of cider was a lovely touch. We hiked the surrounding fields and hills, and took a wander into Hay on Wye to check out the bookshops, tearooms and restaurants, as well as the market on Thursday. We'll definitely be returning in the future!

Plas Bach is a beautiful cabin, in picturesque and peaceful surroundings. Lovely waking up to the sound of the stream and the birds. A short walk into Hay. Welcoming host and local goodie basket. Couldn't ask for more.
