Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed for a long weekend. We booked 3 rooms - all were great with private balconies. The hotel really supported us during all days. The first day due to workload we needed wifi and cable extensions, the other days we got food supplies for the beach. Breakfast was minimal yet delicious! The only "problem" is that it is located on an unmade road, so the car gets really dirty - however this is a general situation on the island.

We had one of the most relaxing holidays ever. The studio we stayed at was amazing with breathtaking views both of the sea and the stars at night. It was so refreshing to be able to wake up and make our own breakfast as and when we wanted and the room was provided with coffees (nescafe, filter and greek coffee) as well as sugar. We had a small basket with butter, jams and toasts. The fridge was also a very good size. We actually ate in a couple of times on the balcony in the evening and were able to take advantage of the room and facilities fully. We liked the room decoration and set up and could not fault it. The studio was cleaned on a daily basis. We went to the beach and also stayed at the pool which has an amazing view of the sea. My brother also came for a few days and stayed in another studio in the complex and his room was also tastefully decorated and relaxing. The owners went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we wanted and made us feel very welcome. In fact we did not want to leave. Needless to say we have already booked our holiday for next year and would highly recommend the studios. I note the other comments in relation to getting to the studios on account of the difficult road but the website makes this very clear and the actual time from the port to the studios is in fact a short drive - about 10 to 15 minutes max and the location is well worth the drive on the rough road. Kea is a beautiful island and the Blue Studios are a hidden gem!

My wife and I stayed here for 7 nights in June. We loved the remote location. The road in is unpaved but we didn't mind because we were rewarded with gorgeous views, an infinity pool overlooking the ocean, and very few other guests. The owners Vasilis and Ada were very responsive and took great care of us while still giving us complete privacy. My only complaint is that the wifi is somewhat spotty at times but we just took it as an opportunity to unplug. If you're looking for a quiet and remote spot, I would recommend Blue Studios.

If someone does not mind to ride a distance of 3 km dirt road and climb some steep stairs to reach the room from the parking, then he'll have a great time there. The room was very romantic, with many little details, the colors used are very relaxing. The bathroom is rather small but functional and of nice design. The best part was the veranda;it is of the same size with the room, built in such a way to provide you privacy and direct view to the sea and the sunset. We spend a good time at the veranda as it is well equipped with 2 great sunbeds, a table, 2 chairs and its direction in relation to the route of the sun offers you great visibility and a good shadow at the same time.

The studios are perched above the water and all have terraces and beautiful views. The drive from Korissia is about 10/15 mns over a rocky road and is a bit of a drag after a while. The nearest beach at Xyla is fantastic and a 5/10 mn drive.
There is a nice pool area but the pool is tiny and more for a dip than to swim in. Great for kids.
The studios are generally nice and clean although could do with some improvement, especially bathhrooms. Some decoration items are awfully kitsch. The beds are ok but not that comfortable. The kitchenettes have 2 plate stoves and a few pans which allows for some basic cooking. Good daily cleaning.
The owner is nice but some family members appear to find guests an annoyance as they live by the pool area.

As composer on the feature film The Journey, I stayed 2 nights with cast and crew at this idyllic place whilst writing the score. The location was inspirational, just what I needed: quiet, scenic, and the luxury of nearby sea views whilst lying in bed! The sound of waves lulling me to sleep. Inside my room, the Blue room, there was a artistic attention to detail and a real artistic flair, with lime-washed wooden ceilings, diaphanous curtains and hangings, and a bathroom with a massive stone shelf. Of course all the technology necessary for communication worked well - wifi and excellent mobile reception. It was a real pleasure to use the outside covered area by the side of the infinity pool as my music-writing station. Although this was a business trip, I certainly have noted this for a romantic trip with my wife!

Kea Blue is the most fantastic hotel/apartment that I have spent my holiday in. It is calm, beautyfully decorated, with own swimming pool facing straight to the sea and stunning sea views. The apartment was always clean, staff is very friendly and the owner and he's family is very hospital and helpful. We had the possibility to relax and still to have company and our own privacy. The pool area is elegant and in the evening absolutely beautyfull with large candle lanterns and white decoration.

The whole place is really fantastic and I truely can recommend this to everybody. I loved it.

The Blue Studios were all and more than we were looking for. The studios are beatifully decorated with great care given to detail and comfort. The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms are absolutely spotless. I can honestly say that we wanted for nothing and Vasilis the owner is the most wonderful host.
As for scenery, it is stunning. All the studios overlook the entire ocean and it is something else to see the magnificent sunsets and to hear the waves crashing at night.
All four of us agreed that it was the best holiday that we could have had, full of many laughs, beautiful food and experiences and Greece as we remembered it 30 years ago. Totally unspoilt.

We spent one magnificent week in Kea at the Blue Studios at the end of August 2014. Situated in a very calm area about 15 minute drive from the port. The road is a bit bumpy, but you get used to it fast. The studio was very nice, decorated with very much taste. The kitchen came in handy since we always had dinner at the studio, although they're weren't enough kitchen utensils, and only one single pan which was in bad shape. We also had an ant issue, mostly in the kitchen, so we always had to make sure that our food was packed up very well. The terrace was pretty spacious and the view was just breath-taking! Every evening while enjoying our glass of wine we would watch the sunset, unbelievably beautiful!
The Studio was cleaned every day and sheets and towels were changed every 2 days.
The pool area also was very nice, very clean, very well taken care of, very comfortable sunbeds, just perfect.
I will definitely recommend the Blue Studios, and hope to go back very soon.
