Off the beaten track, nestled between mountains. Loved the conveniently prepared braai pack and making a wooden fire while watching a lightning storm approaching in the distance. Did a short hike with incredible views of the reserve. Sunset was also spectacular, will return for longer next time

Unfortunately we only had one night at Rooiberg Lodge and believe that 2 nights should be a minimum! On entry we were greeted by large baboons on the road and a beautiful male Nyala. We were greeted by Henry who showed us our accommodation. The chalets are in excellent with all the amenities catered for and available. The beds are...

Most beautiful oasis after a long, hot day following the riders. Lush green grass, sparkling clean swimming pool. Friendly, hospitable staff tending to our every need. Very clean ablutions and comfortable sleeping arrangements. Delicious food. Will definitely visit again.

While we came through Van Wyksdorp, we came across the Rooiberg Lodge. We had read about it so decided to look into it. We only had coffee and a great chocolate cake, but we were so very warmly welcomed by Henry. The lodge is located very remotely and it gives a wonderful feeling of isolation. The surrounding Karoo has such...

Thanks to Ronel and Henry we enjoyed a very special weekend at this beautiful lodge. The scenery is spectacular and the birding very entertaining. The chalets are spotless and thoughtfully appointed. The food, service and ambience were all wonderful. I highly recommend their steak, my husband ordered it twice in a row! Full, cooked breakfast will start your day off...

What a nice surprise to suddenly see this beautiful lodge at the end of a dust road hidden in a very nice and charming scenery in the Klein Karoo. Nice cottages, a good pool and tasty food and wines in the restaurant. Henry and Ronel are the bests hosts one can think of! It was top!

It takes a little effort to get here - 5km up a dirt road from the main road and some way off route 62. But it's well worth it. The place is an oasis with an amazing atmosphere. Really good for relaxing and just chilling out for a night or two. We stayed in a chalet and found it very...
