Everything was clean, the golf course well maintained, facilities in great condition. We loved walking around the estate with our family and babies in the prams. We even took the kids for a drive up an old mountain road. Really beautiful and worth while stop. I am not one to go to the same place twice but Katberg Golf Estate...

Stayed overnight at the Hotel after arriving at night. Then woke up to a real treat in many ways, including exquisite views of the mountain. Having perfect weather helped also, but the real surprise was the layout and condition of the golf course. Definitely deserve it's top 100 rating and worth a visit. Be prepared to negotiate some challenging road...

Really comfortable, great value accommodation in the most beautiful setting. The golf course is a gem and totally unexpected in this location. Management and staff were friendly and helpful and it was a pleasure to spend two nights here and play golf on our way to Kwazulu Natal. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful well priced villas to hire for the night with stunning views over the golf course and mountains. Lots to do hiking, golfing, horse riding, mountain biking tennis, swimming etc. Or you can just sit on your villa's veranda and watch the golfers play in front of you. The views are worth the drive. Highly recommendable

This is truly beautiful - dirt road to get there and sadly the hotel is closed but the homes and golf course as well as the 19th hole top class - if visiting the East Coast then this trip is worth the time - enjoy

We booked a 3 bedroom self catering houses/villas for the Easter long weekend, and what a fantastic getaway indeed! Nestled in the majestic mountains of the rural Eastern Cape, a peaceful retreat awaits you, with fresh mountain air and time for deep introspection. The house is spacious, well appointed with a fireplace to keep you warm and vistas to remember....

On arrival, we were heartily welcomed by I think, the Manager for the golf. Car was packed, and since we couldn't fit in charcoal, we bought wood and charcoal at Katberg Estate in the little shop. As we were wondering who was going to sit with the wood on their lap, a golf cart arrived with an employee, who saw...
