Awesome experience!! From the minute we arrived they immediately made us feel welcome. The lodging is excellent and the food even better. If you are in that part of the world, do not consider staying anywhere else........

Booked into this guest house before experiencing the Creighton Aloe Express the next day. Received a royal welcome when we arrived. After having pre supper drinks in the lounge with a great fire going, we all joined other guests and owners for a very good dinner. After supper we all spend a great time in the lounge have a great...

We booked a two night stay for two couples at the Smithfield Guest House, a short birding tour to see Cape Parrots and a full day Sani Pass birding tour with Malcolm. Upon arrival we received a friendly welcome with tea and biscuits. Both rooms were clean, nicely decorated and homey. There was also excellent birding on the property with...

This was a birding trip with Birding Ecotours. It involved a trip through Sani Pass to the separate country of Lesotho with birding along the way. For accommodations, there is a separate guest house as well as rooms in the home. Since the guest house was being used, our group stayed in their home. This guest home as well as...

The itinerary and recommendations of the owner/bird guide were not reasonable and were designed to extract the maximum fees possible. When guiding, he was pompous and tended to...

The british couple running the house made us feel very comfortable with a worm welcome and with lots of useful information about road condition, restaurants, weather, birding and much more with a good sense of dry english humor. The victorian style rooms are beautiful as well as the huge garden, good for bird watching. Breakfast was rich and we had...

Gail and Malcolm are wonderful - we were here for birding and Malcolm is a great bird guide. Gail makes you feel really at home and the food is fantastic. The house itself is a little tired and could use some TLC. Our room was quite disappointing but the people made up for it.
