The Bongani Mountain Lodge resort is a wonderfull location to stay. Very Very friendly people, high quality of service, excellent food and excellent game drives and excellent rangers. We've spotted a lot of animals around this place with the rangers.

Just when we thought we have already seen the best of south Africa, this place has raised the bar. Wonderfull experience and adventure, extremely friendly staff, relaxing environment, beautifull nature, amazing view that would put you immediately in a meditative state.

We loved the Bongani Lodge but didn't quite realise how far into the mountains it was. But the views were magnificent with lodges perched over the rocky ledges roamed by monkeys, baboons impala and kudo. Great excitement when we spotted our first herd of elephants...More

We went on an organised tour with African SAfari from the uk Bongani lodge is part of a hotel chain so they should have other guest arrangements you would need to eat there as nearest food source is about an hours drive down... More

I agree with sorrow above But having said that I thoroughly enjoyed the food very homely lots of stews always a grill. --- didn't eat the Kudu having just seen it on the hoof but my other half said it was delicious!!!

South African Rand is what u need as per us safety wasn't an issue at all! For hotel bills cards can do too but if you go out or tip someone u need the local currency
