Detailed Reviews
My daughter and I received a warm friendly welcome from both Brian and Rowena. Once we had been shown to our room, we were offered tea in the beautiful garden which has stunning views over the surrounding countryside.
Our room was very clean and roomy with comfy beds. We had huge fluffy towels and on request were provided with a fan which was very welcome as we stayed during the recent heatwave. We were impressed by the environmentally friendly features; underfloor heating, solar panels and the EV charging point.
Breakfast was served in the sunny dining room. We both had the homemade muesli followed by the vegetarian option and it was all delicious.
Thank you both for your hospitality. We will definitely be returning.

Where to start? We visited as a friend was getting married at nearby Wortley Hall. Amazing breakfast with a great selection on offer with fresh and local produce. The rooms were beautifully decorated, spotless and very comfortable with all the necessary amenities. Brian and Rowena are very friendly, welcoming hosts and attentive without being overbearing, nothing was too much trouble. The B&B is situated in a perfect place, close to venues and local pub and what a beautiful view all around! Would 100% recommend and would definitely visit again. Myself, my daughter Lily and my mom thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

What a beautiful place this is! On arrival, we were greeted by Rowena who showed us to our room (Primrose). It was crisp, clean and had everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable, we didn't want to get up in the mornings! Breakfast was absolutely superb, and Rowena and Brian kindly made me a Slimming World friendly breakfast both mornings of poached egg on toast. It was the simple things such as that and the cafetiere of coffee (not instant) that made it a cut above the rest. Beautoful views from the bedrooms also and lovely and quiet.
My partner proposed to me (unexpectedly) whilst we were away too, so we have decided we'll come back every year around the same date so that we can celebrate in the beautiful surroundings! Thanks again Rowena and Brian!

Stayed here a couple of nights as a family of 3 to visit the University of Sheffield. We were in the Snowdrop room, which was a lovely, modern family room with beautiful views of the garden and countryside beyond. Had a lovely welcome from Rowena with fresh milk for tea and coffee and a jug of ice cold water brought to our room on arrival. The house was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was good, especially the local yogurt and home made jam. Rowena was also very helpful with advice on how best to travel to the uni and the position of the b&b was excellent for travelling to Sheffield and the Peak District. The only minor disappointments were that, as vegetarians, we felt it would have been a nice touch to have been offered 2 eggs for breakfast or a veggie sausage, and there was very little cereal in the 2 jars left on the table. Also, we were left tiny tubes of toiletries in the bathroom, not enough for 3 people staying 2 nights, so I would recommend bringing your own.

Thank you for your lovely review, we did say that if you wanted anything at all, just to ask - please remember next time you visit. With regards to the cereal jars, I am very keen on stock control and ensuring dried goods are fresh so I would rather them run out and you ask for more than keep adding to them. We try really hard to use fresh ingredients and i think one of you had our veg medley which had some produce from the garden.

I would highly recommend this place. The rooms are modern and very well equipped. The breakfasts are amazing and everything is freshly made. The views from the rooms at the back of the property overlooking the garden are fantastic and Rowena is extremely attentive and helpful.

This is my second time at Finkle Green BnB. The first trip was about a year ago for some much needed R&R and alone time in nature, but this time, my boyfriend and I wanted to do some hiking in the Pennines. The hosts provided us with 4 different hikes which was stunning to say the least, the room itself was incredibly comfortable and the whole property has a 360 view which you cannot get enough of. Very tranquil, incredibly clean, vegan friendly breakfast and formidable hosts, very warm and welcoming. The nearby village is really cute, the local pub is really lovely and the hosts can recommend you anything: from where to go to eat, to drink, to hike, to relax, to take photos...Anything!

Stayed here after dropping our youngest son off at Uni in Sheffield so were flagging a bit having lugged his stuff up lots of flights of stairs! Rowena was like a breath of fresh air, welcoming and helpful, lovely room with amazing views across the hills, could have watched all the different types of birds on the bird feeder including a pheasant wandering around the garden all day! Little touches like the lovely hot chocolate in the room along with fresh milk then lovely breakfast of fresh fruit, muesli, the best home made ginger marmalade along with toast and a delicious breakfast cooked by Brian - he and Rowena are a great team. We ate at a lovely pub within 10 minute walking distance in Worley Village. Thank you again for a great stay, we’ll be back!
