Excellent food in a friendly rural restaurant/bar. The staff are efficient, friendly and helpful. The menu is compact but great choices for all tastes. The quality and quantity of the food was far more than adequate. Enjoyed our visit so much we booked another night later in the week, not disappointed second visit just as good as first. If in the area would urge anyone to visit.

After the issues of the last few months my wife and I needed a relaxing few days away and this proved to be just the place. We did pre-advise an early check in if available to make the best of the superb weather recently. This was “no problem “ and that proved to be the theme of the week. From arrival nothing was too much trouble for the friendly and helpful staff who always seemed to be very busy. We were shown to the Festival Room that overlooked the back garden and was extremely well appointed and very clean . With the chancellors eat out package we dined in the restaurant on all but one of the evenings where the food was absolutely spot on, with a standard menu plus a specials board. All was freshly cooked and plentiful. Even at full price it would have been value for money! The pre ordered breakfast was also superb with a huge selection to suit everyone. All in all a great few days and definitely on the “must return” list Thank you all at The White Lady

My husband and I stayed at the White Lady for a few days and it was fabulous. On arrival we were given a warm greeting, despite the place being busy. The rooms were spacious and clean, great shower and beautiful roll top bath for a luxurious soak. We had to pre-order breakfast due to COVID, there was a great selection and all presented and tasted lovely. We also had a try at the resteraunt for an evening meal and again the food was piping hot, tasty and well presented. Just a short walk from the train station to do some sight seeing if you want to leave your vehicle. The staff here were what really made our stay so good, friendly, hospitable and gave good tips for what to see and do. So thank you Theresa and Anthony. Even the locals were a friendly bunch. Looking forward to our invite to Anthony's surprise 30th Birthday party in December. Barbara & Andy

I booked all the rooms here for my family and friends during January for my birthday. I also booked their back room for my my birthday bash and it was exceptional. All my family and friends who stayed there said it was absolutely lovely and were well looked after. A year later two of my friends got married and had their do there and said it was an awesome place. It’s a nice, down to earth lovely place- clearly the reason why they also won C4’s Four in a Bed. I would recommend this place to anyone
